High Torque Movement - "AA" Cell (11/16 in. Shaft Legth)

Have on old wall clock with sentimental value that I wanted to get working. I purchased what I thought was the correct movement based on dimensions. After providing the seller with the length of my minute and hour hands, it turned out I was wrong. They had already cancelled my order after receiving my information insuring I wouldn't be getting a movement that wouldn't work. I replied and they suggested the correct high torque movement that I would need to order, which I did. Excellent communication saved the hassle and disappointment of receiving the wrong part. I'm happy they took the extra time to insure I got what I wanted. A+ for that and quick response! As far as the movement itself, I received the exact Takane movement that came out of the clock. The original lasted over 20 years, I'm expecting the same life span for this replacement. Took the back of the clock off, removed two screws, pulled out the old and put in the new. Clock is running and keeping perfect time. Life is good!

I needed a new clock movement for a clock that had stopped running. The original movement was a Takane with no model # but just said "no (0) jewels" on the back. I needed something similarly shaped (with screw notches) to fit the back of the clock. Clock came with all the washers, nuts and caps that were needed as well as instructions. Measurements were accurate, installation was relatively easy and I was able to use the hands I already had from the existing clock without a problem. I have had the clock put back up on the wall for a couple of weeks now and it keeps perfect time.

Works really well, needed to fix an old neon clock that didn't work and it required a specific size and this one fit nicely. Been a little less than a week and so far it has kept good time so we shall see how good it is. I'll update this review if it starts to run slow or fast.**UPDATE February 2016**So I've had this thing for about 6 months almost and I'm still very pleased with my purchase, however since I got it it has started running fast. After around 5 months of not messing with it, it had gained an extra 3 minutes. Overall that equates to around 30 seconds a month and it doesn't really bother me that much. I mainly use this clock as decoration instead of my go to clock so in my opinion 30 seconds a month isn't bad.

Just what i needed to replace the movement on my 16" wall clock.

Only went with 4 stars because I did not use it but it looks like it will work in my clock and I will keep it as a spare.My old one started working when I went to remove it.

I'm sure that the movement is an excellent one, but when it arrived it turned out not to be the one we thought we were buying. The one we got was different than the one pictured at the time. It would not have made a difference if we had been building a clock from scratch. We were repairing an existing clock, and needed the precise one we were looking for. This one would not work, try as we might. For that reason, I am giving it only two stars. On the up side, the excellent customer care, easy return, and quick refund of our money kept me from giving an even lower rating. In that regard, this seller is excellent, and I would definitely give them another shot, should the opportunity arise.

Bought an expensive, large 39" clock. The motor failed within a week. Replaced it with this and has been working nicely for over a month, and I have no reason to expect it not to go on and on.
