They really work as black out curtains
I have a sliding glass door in my bedroom that faces full East with no house or other structure in the way to block the morning sun. My bedroom is as bright inside as it is outside. On the weekend when I’d like to sleep in a little, it is horrible. I tried name brand “black out” curtains before these and they were an absolute waste of money. These curtains on the other hand are amazing! They block 100% of the sun. The only sun that creeps in is through the sides of the curtains were they don’t tough the wall. I’ll probably buy one of those curved curtain rods to help with that. So about 95% of the sun is gone from my room but that other 5% is no fault of the curtains. As for blocking out noise, I live on a busy five lane street and my house is probably about 50-75 feet from the street and my bedroom is in that back of the house. They do reduce a little noise but I wouldn’t buy these curtains for that one purpose.

THE BEST
This is the first time for a review. But these are the best, could not be happier… So worth the money, which I think a real deal.

They work really well!!!!!
First Photo of the curtains installed in my bedroom on a pair of 36”X53” windows, it’s mid day, Sun is shining bright and now I can barely hear the geese honking which hang out at the retention pond right outside my bedroom, which is reason two for buying these curtains. 2nd photo taken with ceiling fan light off and door shut, same time of day, same bright sun, which is reason 1 for buying these curtains, near complete blackout.

Incredibly silencing
These are so thick, beautiful quality, and instantly helped to quiet my room. I’m on a very busy street in the city. I’m going to sleep great tonight!

Wonderful curtains
These curtains are high quality. They totally keep the light out. They look great, too. I would highly recommend them.

Just ok
I bought these to reduce the noise coming from outside my window and it definitely doesn't reduce the sound. These are just blackout blinds marketed as noise reducing.

Impressed by level of blackout from Florida
I have been looking for a great blackout to place in one of my bedrooms triple sliding glass doors that has an intense South Florida South, East and West view directly on the water and 9 stories up. This means from around 3pm till sunset, the sun blasts into the room and it is intense, I have to keep a fan circulating even with the air conditioning on to keep it cool. I have a double curtain rod, sheers in the back and lovely gold front/white lined silk "sun reducing" curtains in front on the sheers. But if a guest is staying in the room it is full blown sun from sun up to sun down.I've only had them up for a day, but these white front/black lined "blackouts" are incredible. I placed them on the outer portion of the back rod where the sheers are so that I can let sun in when desired but black the room out when wanted by simply increasing the sheers and schruncing black out all the way tonthe outer still giving an airy look and feel.I've lived in this home for over 24 years and have never been able to achieve this level of darkness (even with different shade styles) which is thrilling. Cannot wait to save on my costly electrical bill and give guests a restful sleep too. Some have indicated that these were packaged wrong, smell or are rough. Mine are none of these. They are a thick soft white (almost like a mat polished cotton) front and the back is lined in black up till the seem of the grommets on top and base at the bottom where they are white on both sides. I will say that the only "complaint" I have is that they seem just a tad to long compared to all my 95" curtains.

Block the sunlight and partially the sound
Really block the sun. As for the sound, they are better then Nicetown. I would say they cut 25% of the noise, instead of 10%. They came wrinkle and I probably would have something to do because of that. Very nice color.

Speedy delivery
The curtains were more beautiful than the picture, they are truly black out curtains. I love them.

Shoddy workmanship
I bought these curtains specifically to block light and noise coming through a bedroom window. I bought four panel instead of two to give me lots of extra material to experiment.PROS:At a glance, the curtains and the fabric look nice. (But see my comments below about workmanship.) The gray is an even shade and contrasts nicely with the warm colours in my bedroom. As a blackout curtain, it does the job. No light gets through these curtains at all. A bit of light leaks around the edges, so make sure you hang them with a lot of overhang at top and the sides. The bit of light that appears at the edges doesn't bother me and, if I cared, I could probably come up with some simple solutions to overcome that.CONS:The photos for this product say "No loose threads". I'm here to say that claim is bogus. There are numerous loose threads here and there. Furthermore, the stitching is not well done. It's uneven in places causing the the panels to pucker here and there. One corner of one panel doesn't fall naturally, but curves off to one side. No "exquisite workmanship" here.Another photos refers to "Triple woven fabric". I have no idea what that means. There are only two layers of fabric to this curtain.Noise reduction is none existent. It does nothing to stop outside noise. I experimented with hanging all four panes in a row, and then doubling one pair of panels over another, i.e. two layers of panels. Neither setup had any impact on the outside noise. It does muffle interior noise from bouncing off walls a bit though, so there's that.Because they come packaged in plastic they will be quite wrinkled when you pull them out. The heavy fabric makes it very hard to iron out these wrinkles. I debated tossing them in the dryer with a damp towel, but the product washing instructions advise against using a drier. It took me an hour to iron out one panel -- using a damp dishtowel between the iron and fabric to prevent a sheen -- and even then it was still wrinkled. Then I remembered that I had a portable steamer, and I used that. Worked perfectly to remove all the wrinkles after I first hung them. You could also try just misting them with water to allow the wrinkles to fall out over time.I'm undecided on whether to return these..

Very disappointed in workmanship :(
Panels differ in length by up1.5 inches at the bottom from one end of the panel to the other.Very noticeable. Not properly hemmed. Very disappointed !!Fabric itself was as expected and I would give 4/5 however, failing grade due to the workmanship 1/5.Should not be that difficult to hem properly.
