Great for cooking Moroccan food. The shape creates such good flavors.

Big enough for dinner for two
This tagine is really attractive and well-made. I chose the cast iron-bottomed one over those with ceramic bottoms as I have an electric stove top and don't want to bother with a trivet. I like using cast-iron for it's heat retention and ease of cleaning. In retrospect, I wish I had bought the larger size to use for a couple more diners. It's fun to use and everything I make in it comes out tender and delicious. I enjoy cooking Moroccan and other Middle-Eastern dishes and this is the right tool for it.I read a review from a dissatisfied buyer who claimed that the chimney was defective because there was no hole in the top of it. She had her husband drill the hole. I had a good laugh over that one.

Great flavors...small vessel
Once we seasoned the cast iron, it is as easy to clean as any cast iron. It is a little smaller than I expected...which is okay as we only cook for two people...but a larger family might need a larger vessel if it is being used for one-pot meals. We have made the most tender chicken and lamb we have ever had in this pot, so I do highly recommend it.

Work great so far
The product looks good and quality is great and you get your money worth for its value. The food tastes great and easy to use. I made Vietnamese braised salmon and we loved how it authentic it tasted. Love the color of the lid. The only thing is that when I cooked and cover it with the lid and let it simmer for a little while, the steam leaks out and spilled over. The only thing is that it requires a little bit of maintenance after cooking.

Unsafe to cook food !!! No Instruction or cooking book as it's advertised
It's unsafe to cook food, the black coatings still come out after I had heated and greased the cast iron pan! I had collection of some cast iron pots and pans. I had never seen that anything like this!

Go to Cooker
Using a tagine is phenomenal for flavor and cook time. This a quality built tagine. The heavy cast iron bottom can be used to braise items before cooking. It is oven and stove top versatile. Because the bottom is a ferrous metal, I can even use it with my induction stove. Meals come out great!

Great to own one!
Excellent for slow cooking once the pot is seasoned as per direction. Easy to clean while the pot is hot with water & mild soap. Stuck residues comes off easily. Can be use for many different types of cooking, stir fry is done in minutes, that's the versality of this pot. While slow cooking the conical lid traps the steam & the aromatic flavors of Moroccan cuisine! I'm in love with my Tagine!!!
