Is this a can or jar with re-sealable lid? How long will it keep, once opened?

It is a re-sealable lid. I recommend getting the smaller bottles. The bottom of the barrel starts to crystallize after a month.

I love these cherries, but I’m confused, it’s advertised as 2 lbs. 12 ounces, but the picture says 1 lb. 1.6 ounces. Which is it?

It's 2 lbs 12 ounces. You should know that these cherries taste better when purchased in Fabbri's smaller white and blue glass container. These tasted a little like the can. It's a noticeable difference in the taste.
