This is my preferred brand for my omega supplements. No fishy taste these actually have a strawberry taste somewhat. My brain power and focus is better with these taken consistently. Quality and value for the money spent. Skin and hair looks and feels good too. Easy to swallow also.

These are the way to go. I save them for last in my nightly prenatal med rounds because they have a nice, light strawberry taste. In the first trimester when I was feeling GROSS I bought these even though I had been given the unflavored ones for free LOL. The extra cost is so worth it and I never went back to the plain ones.

**Update: Amazon replaced the fishy bottle with a new one. New one (from same lot number) is great and back to the excellent quality I’ve enjoyed the past couple years! Back to strawberry burps instead of fishy burps.** I have been taking these for 2 years through pregnancies and nursing, and have loved that there was no fishy taste or smell...and only strawberry flavored burps. BUT this most recent bottle purchased, the pills came out smelling fishy and my burps ugh fishy. What happened? I didn’t see clumping like others had noted about broken capsules, but I don’t think I can take any more of these pills. It’s so gross. I literally went from great pills from my old bottle on Monday night to fishy pills from the new bottle on Tuesday night. So disappointed. Going to try and get an exchange and hope it was just the one bottle that’s an issue.

Taste isn’t bad.

I started this after reading that DHA can help with cognitive decline during perimenopause and menopause. I was already taking some DHA, with an EPA dominant blend (also by Nordic Naturals)--like the regular Omega 3 supplement--and doubted I'd notice much difference with this DHA-dominant blend. Wow I was wrong. It's like brain juice. Even though it isn't much higher mg-wise than what I was getting from 4 of the regular Omega 3s, the formula feels more intense. I am able to focus for long periods of time again, very important to my work as a writer and professor, and my anxiety has gone down. I have a very sensitive system and am able to take 2 without problems.

I absolutely love this supplement! I started taking this a few years ago after my second was born because I was having a lot of trouble thinking. I think my DHA stores were majorly depleted from pregnancy and breastfeeding. I could not even finish a sentence without forgetting words! For someone that is normally very sharp mentally, this was extremely frustrating and embarrassing. It was so bad I was worried I was in early Alzheimer's or something. Well after a few weeks of taking this, I saw 100% improvement! I felt smart again! Lol. I was able to win arguments with my husband again (lol but really!), and my short term memory improved so much! I am now breastfeeding my 4th child and have taken this throughout two pregnancies, and am happy to say my brain is still sharp. Also my two babies that I took this through their pregnancies have been very advanced mentally, and extra smart. My 3 yo was saying clear words by 6 mo, and talking in sentences by a year! My 4 mo says "hey" already. I credit talking to them all the time even as newborns, and this stuff! (Obviously getting it through the placenta, then breastmilk, not straight giving it to them, lol)

After hearing about fish burps caused by taking other DHA supplements, I had definite concerns about which brand to purchase. This product provides pharmaceutical grade fish oil, which is recommended to avoid the fish smell or flavor. I don't mind the price, to avoid those issues. I chose to purchase these after reading the reviews, and I am very pleased with my choice. As many have said, there is no fishy smell, taste, or burp after taking these. They do have a pleasant strawberry scent and taste. I definitely recommend these to any pregnant ladies looking for a palatable DHA supplement. As I am supposed to take two prenatal vitamins and two of these each day, I take one of each after breakfast and one of each after dinner, in order to spread the two out and avoid any possible stomach upset. I haven't had any negative issues at all with this product!
