Rubie's Costume Co Leaf Clasp Costume

It's perfect for a hobbit costume, even survived the washing machine post trick or treating (oops). It is a bit small, not overly small or anything. It was the perfect size for my toddlers costume but I do think it could be aa smidge small for an adult, but thts more opinion and style preferences.

It's just a cheap pin, but I really enjoy it. I was pleased to discover that it's not as flimsy as I feared after reading the reviews, though it certainly isn't indestructible; I did break it when I yanked on it not realizing that it had caught on something, but I was able to repair it easily with super glue. If you look carefully you can see that the green had been applied a bit sloppily, but at a glance it looks fine.So if you're a cosplayer, you'll probably want something a little better than this; but if you're just having fun with friends or simply like the idea of the wearing the Fellowship's leaf brooch, then this product is a good choice.

These are chintzy, but good for the price. They look great and really nice unless you're very close, and really made the great final touch on our LOTR costumes. Up close you can see how cheaply made they are. The come on a chain, and the chain is hard to remove if you want to use it as just a pin without the chain.

This is an ok piece. Clearly cheap. Does not look like the picture with the product. The green coloring is in green strips. It was of better grade metal material than I imagined it would be. If you are wearing this in low light or on stage, this is a suitable costume piece. If you are planning on using it in a situation where you are going to be up close to a lot of people and want to show off your awesome costume... don't get this. It will be a glaring, tacky pin. I'll see if I can figure out how to upload a photo of the one I received.

I paid under $3, shipping was free, and it came in about a week. Is it an heirloom..NO! But, great for an 11 year old to clasp her hobbit cloak. The clasp is not strong and I could see it breaking or bending easily. So we positioned the pin to not be moved and put a big hook & eye behind the pin. I wish I had bought more, because all the grandkids want a cloak with pin.

Really not happy with the color. I saw reviews that said the same, but decided to give it a chance. I wish that I could post a picture to deter someone from taking a chance. It is not painted well. It is much cheaper than I was expecting. The pin piece is so small, turned the wrong way, and all the way on one side. If you were to pin it the way it looks in the picture, the other side will sag down. It is really bad, over all. I might take the pin part off and reattach another, facing the right way. I would rather it had come un painted so I could at least make it look like the majority of the leaf was green. I don't know where else you would get one, but I wish that I would've looked harder, spent even $10 more for something that I was happy with.

The pin we received is like the one shown in the picture. It’s decent quality for dress up or costumes, not super detailed but my daughter was very excited to receive this as a birthday present. The pin on the back is kind of small but we make it work. Good quality for the money.

The only thing worth noting is that the clasp is very tiny and so you'll have to be careful to properly secure it, especially attaching it to a kids costume.

Eine sehr schöne Brosche nachempfunden den Blättern Loriens aus Herr der Ringe. Für den Preis kann man wirklich nicht meckern, sie ist sehr schön und trägt sich auch genauso gut. Natürlich kann man nicht die Original im Film verwendete Brosche erwarten, aber man hätte auch etwas viel schlechteres bekommen können.Ich liebe diese Brosche und freue mich schon darauf sie verwenden zu können!

I bought this for my 9 year old to go to a fancy dress party. He said it was 'Epic!', and I thought it was excellent value for money. Would have preferred the chain to be detachable.
