Barbie Dreamhouse Party - Nintendo Wii U

My lil girl will be 5 end of May, with all this technology today THESE kids are AMAZINGLY SMART!!! Xmas was all of these Barbie Girls and EVERYTHING For the matching accessories, it was a very big Xmas for her this year, she literally took over the house with EVERYTHING BARBIE,AND ALL MY SHOPPING WAS DONE BY AMAZON!!!! I would of paid a FORTUNE IF I WENT ELSE WHERE!!!But everything she got is in this game, I had to purchase it once I seen it, and the cost,even more so made me want to buy it, seeing we just got the Wii U for Xmas ....... LONG STORY SHORT....SORRY:-) LOVES LOVES LOVES IT!!!! Fun, educational,and keeps her occupied..... Very occupied!!! You would think she has a hundred lil girl's in the room with her, it's well worth it, very satisfied BOTH parents and Daughter :-)

My kids love it and have fun playing with it with their friends.

I only paid $20 for this, and under those conditions I would recommend this for people who are a fan of the series. I played it through with my four year old and she enjoyed it, but struggled with some of the mini games. Pros: It is a good fit with the show, both animation style and humor. It has nine mini games You can change your players outfit as you play and earn more wardrobe Price (again I only paid $20) Cons: Only the player with the game pad can be Barbie and you can't pick which character you play as unless you have four players Two of the mini games are way easier on the game pad then with the wii mote, I played against my four year old who is not good at games and two computer players and I was crushed in both games (usually I'm good at wii games) If I purchased this again I think I would have purchased it for the DS, since my daughter enjoys playing more with just the gamepad. However, she enjoys the game and wants to play it again soon.

My 6yr old loves this game! She played about an hour to get a hang on what she has to do but kids are smart now and she loves it! Cant wait for the new one to come out in November 2015.

I typically buy only games that have high ratings on Amazon and IGN. This purchase was an exception and a mistake. All four of my daughter love the Barbie dream house show, hence the purchase. My ten year old played this for one hour and has not played it since. When asked about the game, she said it was boring and too easy. She got tired of searching for things and it was the same thing over and over again. Total waste of $20. There are other games in this price range that are better option.

Pros: -Fun game for up to four girls who enjoy Barbie between the ages of 3 and 7. -Nine activities in varied dollhouse locations plus a slew of finding the hidden item games. -Most activities are fairly easy, yet some can be challenging * see below -Dress Barbie and her friends in the outfits you unlock during any game (can be a con for older kids, but my young girls don't mind someone changing outfits mid gameplay). -My 9 yr old son enjoys this with my daughters 3 and 5, but only in short gameplay sessions. -Great visuals on the Wii U, characters are animated and cutscenes are great. Cons: -Only the Gamepad player can play as Barbie, and other players are only selected by the order in which their controller pairs with the Wii U. -*Some activities are not explained well enough to understand, which may require an adult to intervene and figure out how to play. Case in point, the bedroom level where you collect packages dropping from the sky. If you don't press "A" on the gamepad (or I believe "2" on the Wiimotes) other characters will step in front of you to collect packages you were about to catch. Pressing "A" makes you step forward and isn't explained. -Difficult gameplay on some levels for the target age group. My daughter's biggest frustrations are the applying makeup level and washing the dog levels. The gameplay on these levels for the Gamepad player is NOT a problem and is enjoyed by both as these stages involve touch screen gameplay, yet the Wiimote play involves pointing the Wiimote at the screen. Even my five (soon to be six) year old who enjoys games like Skylanders, Mario 3D World, NintendoLand, Rayman Legends and others has a difficult time pointing the Wiimote at certain places on the screen when these levels require a lot of precision pointing. In conclusion, as a budget title this game is a hit with younger girls. Even though the gameplay is fairly easy, and at times more difficult, most games have a bit of strategy involved in them for older players (older siblings, parents) to get involved and enjoy at least in small doses.

My daughter loves thus game!! She is six and is able to follow and just enjoys it. Overall a great game for kids.

I can't figure out how to get multi player for the life of me. It is a boring game. My 6 year old isn't into it. Waste of money. Do not purchase.
