They are incredibly useful for backpacking. At 4 feet long and 3/4 inches wide, they're perfect for securing gear to my pack. I've used them to attach sleeping bags, tents, and even extra clothing. These are great! I have a bunch of uses for them, especially for electrical/computer/audio cords, but you can also cut them off and glue to stuff to make custom Velcro closures, etc.Seller is great! These are the best type of wire tie. They can be easily re-used. The velcro adhesion is strong and can hold heavy cable together. You can also wrap multiple times to get an even stronger wrap unlike other brands which only have a small section of 'hook' side velcro (like  Belkin F8B024 8-Inch Velcro Cable Ties ). You have to cut the velcro to size which is both good and bad. On the negative side it is an inconvenience when wrapping lots of similar wires, but that does mean that you can make a strong tie for very large wire by using a long section. For really large cable bundles you can use the cinching variety ( Velcro USA 90440 Velstrap Strap With Handle, Black ), which can't be cut to size, but the loops make it easier to pull tight.

This stuff is awesome. I use tons of it. Give rolls of it away as gifts. Every cable in my laptop bag & backpack, has this stuff (cut to appropriate length, of only a few inches), holding each cable bunched up & organized. My work tool power cords? Yep, bunched-up, and secured with this double-sided Velcro. Just use scissors & cut off the length you need.

These Velcro one-wrap straps were just what I needed to fix a pair of old gardening pants whose snap had failed. The snap tore out and I cut a slit in either side of the waistband and used a few inches of this to fix up a hitch that keeps my drawers from dropping. I also use these as cable minders. Great stuff, this Velcro one-wrap strap.

I bought this to tie around my leg for cycling because my trousers kept getting caught on the bike and the ones you see in bike shops tend to cost about $20 plus tax. Worked fine for me and the velcro is nice and strong.

I really like it, used it to strap my coveralls for my feet area because mine didn't come with velcro to tighten them at my ankles.
