Wonder pictures of Cincinnati you can share!
This book is full of pictures of early downtown Cincinnati. I'm especially happy to get this book because I remember a lot of the buildings that have been torn down. The pictures of the Gibson Hotel are outstanding! When this hotel was in it's prime, single women schoolteachers lived there. They had a wing for music teachers that included a suite with living room that included a piano and separate bedroom. Breakfast and supper - as they say in Cincinnati - were included in the rent. Don't know if this kind of information interests anyone else, but remembering the times I was there and the care the Gibson took of their guests, only adds to my joy of these pictures.I was so sorry to see some of these buildings go. Now, I can look at the pictures and share them with friends and family and tell them the history and fun family times had in those buildings. Thank you Kent Jones!

From a former resident of Cincinnati
It was a joy to reminisce about the Queen City of the West. Some of the photos were very familiar and many were before mytime :) of 1947. I have several Cincinnati books and they were just as interesting.
