Like a full moon on the water.
This very inexpensive light has a magical effect on the aquarium. Nocturnal fish are active and visible under the blue LEDs - it adds a whole new dimension. Operation is simple; while it plugs into AC voltage, the transformer converts to low voltage DC. I used a smart plug so I could set up a regular schedule. The light is watertight and and can be submerged in pond or aquarium or used above the water - as the manual says, it is "amphibious". . A couple of other fun facts from the manual: the light has a "low fever" (generates minimal heat), has "powerful sucking disk" (suction cups allow you to mount it on the glass). There's more, but you'll have to buy one to see it. Great little light, entertaining manual, if you have an aquarium or small pond it's well worth the money.

Low cost and good quality
Purchased a white LED and blue LED over a month ago and have not had any problems. I used the lights to replace the built in fluorescent lights on a Biocube 8 aquarium. Fitting the lights into the lid of the Biocube was easy with a couple of zip-ties after removing the original lighting. The lights provide plenty of light for the aquarium. The lights are supposed to be submersible, I have not submersed the lights so I cannot provide good feedback when it comes to submersing the lights. Looking at the lights they appear to have a good seal so that you can submerse the lights.

Nice cheap light.
So I don't know exactly how good the water resistant is because I have mine outside of the tank on the top shining in from the glass but I know it is really bright I had to use electrical tape just to dim it down because I got the blue version and at night it was keeping my whole tank lit up blue it was way too bright but once I did the electrical tape it was all right as for the suction I have not had a problem but I have not owned it for less than a month but all lights are working well well the lights that I haven't taped but other than that it is a cheap light that works very well.

Perfect moonlight
I placed this (blue version) on the end (short side) of a 55 gal aquarium, and and it casts a perfect 'moon glow' across the aquascape in the evening when set on a timer. Has a pretty narrow beam, won't project light more than about 16" wide, so small tank or end mount. Very low power, so won't really add anything during the day or if you have any other light.

much brighter than expected
I've only had this light a few days, but so far the light is working great. I wanted something for a moon light for my 120Gallon Cube. This light was quite a bit brighter than I expected. I ended up shining it up into the reflector of my main light to make it more disperse. I'll probably 3d print some clips or covers to shade some of the LED bulbs to make it even dimmer. The switch is close to the power plug, but that's not an issue in my setup. If you're wanting to manually turn it on/off then it may be a concern. I plan on just leaving it on 24-7 as the main lighting in my tank can easily overpower this light during the day. UPDATE: I know it's only been a week. The light is still working well, except it was way too bright for a moon light... even on my 30" deep tank. I ended up 3d printing some clip-on covers to cover most of the LEDs on the light. My corals are doing their 'night' thing and sending out their feelers again. The shrimp are coming out more at night as well.

Great light for a small aquarium
My kids had a small 5 gallon tank in the hallway outside their bedroom that they used also as a nightlight. We got a bigger tank for free that someone was getting rid of but the light shorted out and I either needed a new lid (expensive) or I could buy a new light. I decided on buying a light and found this one for a great price on Amazon. When it arrived it was carefully packed and well padded. I put it in the aquarium kind of high up, right on the water line. It does a great job of illuminating our tank with a bluish color, it's not super bright that it would keep my kids up but it's bright enough that you can see most of the tank easily at night. We have a 15 gallon tank, I think this kind of light would be good for 15 gallons or less. Any more than that and you would need to just it just as accent lighting.

Good product but bulky.
Good product and gets the job done. My only issue is that the item is bulky and I wish the switch was closer to the light than the plug. Otherwise the light works great and stays in place, cord is small and flexible enough to fit in the notches of the 2 1/2 gallon tank.

Good glow for 75gallon tank.
Just off center at the top of a 75G tank, it provides a moderate moon glow down across the top of the plants and decor. If adhered to one side of the tank, it would illuminate across the entire 48" length - but I got outvoted about which one looked better. If you want the entire tank really really blue, for a 75G, you'd need two, but 1 is plenty for a soft light. I did notice the 2 middle LEDs went out about 1 week after I had the lights in use. That was disappointing but it happened at the same time as a family crisis so I didn't have time to deal with an exchange. They are still bright. The suction cups don't do what they are supposed to do, even with a little moistening. Why can't one of the few things that should suck actually suck for the right reason? When I have time, I will hot glue the mounting brackets to the back of the tank's top lamp so the light will be hidden but not move. I did that with the previous lamp. It worked well. I used a paint marker to make dots to show where the LEDs should line up with the brackets so after moving the top lamp around I can always realign the lights so they point in the right direction. *If you find this review helpful, please select HELPFUL below.

This product worked fine for 6 months and now it doesn't work at all. I read LED's are supposed to last years. Not this one. We only used it for about 4 hours a day. Very poor quality and wouldn't buy this brand ever again.

Sections super well to the glass, my glo tetras look super bright under it! My tank is a 10 gallon and it just covers the whole tank. I recommend any larger of a tank getting a larger light.

Led is good...does not stick properly.

Perfect for my 5 gallon, makes the glofish rocks and plants glow really well, stuck it on when I got it and hasn't fallen off yet. On off switch is handy. Nice light for the price.
