Rustic Large Willow Vegetable Trug Basket

Got this as an edible toy basket for our bunny. She loves it & it keeps her chew toys together. She likes it so much we got her a second one for her downstairs toys.

I use this trug for carrying my harvested onions, garlic and other food from my veg garden and it has worked well for me.Even when it is fully loaded up with fresh onions it is never in danger of breaking although since I went for the 'large' size the amount of onions it can hold is ... a lot. (and it is very heavy when fully loaded).I'd definitely recommend this trug since it is well made and will last for years (as long as it is not left lying around outside).

Fabulous basket! We moved to a house with a large garden last year and part of my imagined 'living the dream' was being able to pick our own produce. Make no mistake this is very capacious - far too large for collecting a few flowers - and the photo accurately shows just how big it is. It's really sturdy (has been lugged around filled with toys, generally manhandled, sat on and mistreated by my 3 year old twin boys until the novelty of having it around wore off) and I'm sure it will last for years - suspect it will get used for bringing kindling in during the winter months as well so not just a one season wonder. The weave is quite open all round (good for air circulation) but means that if you're bringing anything you've dug up into the house you can get soil on the floor/table as it is not lined; remedied easily by popping a piece of newspaper or two inside before setting out to harvest anything though and this also helps stop the cut ends of the willow poking into any softer fruit or veg. As I said, it is big so make sure you've got somewhere to store it - something I hadn't considered before buying - and it now hangs on its own hook in our utility room.
