High Quality and Saved a Lot Over Hiring a Pro
I purchased this to use with the ProCare keyless entry system for a preschool. It’s been getting a lot of daily use and is holding up great with no issues so far. It feels high quality and was fairly easy to figure out, even for someone without experience in the commercial door industry. I also saved a lot of money by installing it myself instead of hiring a commercial door company. Very satisfied with the performance and value so far!

Excellent "easy" retrofit door strike
We used this strike on a door with an old pushbar release and while the install was not easy, that wasn't the fault of the strike. We only needed to remove the old latch, drill a new hole for the wires and two to securely bolt the strike to the metal door frame. No cutting needed. The steps to change between fail-safe (open with no power) and fail-secure (locked with no power, default) were simple, and while it is much more expensive than most of the other cheap no-name strikes, the build quality and fit and finish make it feel like this will last well into the foreseeable future.

Broken in 5 months and no response from seller
It broke within 5 months of installation. I attempted to get a warranty replacement through Amazon, waste of time. I then tried to the contacted the seller, JMAC, who said that I had to go through Amazon. I finally got a hold of a human at Amazon who filed a request and said that the seller would contact me shortly. That was two weeks ago with no response. Disappointed in the product and seller..

The latch is not as secure as the 9600 series because it’s thinner especially if you have any play in the door
