Love these for my reptiles enclosures.

This flat mount socket save me a lot of money! I had a recessed light fixture from 50 years ago that was giving me a problem with periodic flickering. An electrician attempted to quickly fix the issue, but he thought I might have a wiring issue. Prior to starting a wiring project I order this replacement socket and once installed, it resolved the issue. The old socket with the issue was the same size, so instillation was quick. The quality is very good and I should not have to worry about this light for many years to come!

This is generally a good product, but the heads on the screw terminals are not wide enough to effectively clamp 14 AWG stranded wire. Also, be careful not to overtighten the screws. The heads shear off easily.

Solid, well made product. I ordered 14, I need 12 for my current job, each came wrapped in a separate bubble-wrap bag, none broken, no chips… thanks to previous reviewers, they fixed the packaging issues The design is actually quite clever. The upper ceramic piece screws on to the base using the same threads on the outside that the lightbulb uses on the inside. I fully expect they will last a very long time.

These E26 porcelain lamp sockets are VERY fragile and were received broken. I asked for replacements and the replacements were received totally smashed. Amazon did not put any protective packaging around the plastic bag the sockets were in.

Replaced very old headboard lamp holders. Works great.
