Works well, looks nice, not the best craftsmanship
The welds leave a bit to be desired but all in all I do enjoy having this on the deck. I double coated mine with VHT High Heat Header Paint. Like anything that gets hot the gets rained on it will rust. The VHT helps a lot.

Hmmm, not as sturdy as we expected
Size is what we expected, however, Chiminea does not sit level. There were a few seams that are open, holes did not line up, and welds are minimal at best. There are some small debts in the base. We doubt it will even make it thru the summer. Dissapppointed in the quality for over $300.

Close to perfect for us.
Assembly was super easy, I only needed to look at the diagram to see if there was anything subtle like different sized bolts going in different places, but nope, all the same. The seam welds were indeed leaving gaps up to 1/8 inch and about an inch long as others had written, so I approached assembly with some high temp ATV caulk suitable for fireplace crack repair. The caulk was gray but I planned on painting anyway.Once the eight corners were caulked and dried, I repainted the whole unit with a can of high temperature automotive engine exhaust header spray paint. This provided a flat black rust resistant coat that looks great. Things that get hot like exhaust headers, steam locomotives, and wood stoves are suppose to be flat black and that is what this paint did for the chiminea. We have had two rainstorms and five burns so far with the only sign of rust being at the doors where the metal frame wraps around the steel mesh. More paint there solved the problem.Another modification I did was to remove the ash tray and place a metal bucket under the burning grate. Small triangular gaps were present between the round bucket and corners of the square hole for the ash tray on the bottom of the chiminea. I placed a foil casserole pan under the bucket so any ash that got through the gaps fell into the pan.The last modification was to add a wood stand from our indoor fireplace to hold the equivalent of 4 Duraflame logs. I am actually using pine logs from a dead pine tree on our property. I am confident that if rust reappears, it will be easy to sand off and repaint.

The Chinese are getting even . . . and we didn't even bomb them!
The product arrived on time (in a study box that was undamaged in shipment) but was so poorly packed it looked as if someone else had returned to the factory for the same reason I almost did. Poor overall manufacturing quality. The tack welding is minimal and the gauge of the steel is in question. varying in thickness in different locations according to my micrometer. The doors do not fit well at all and will require a better latch system than the one provided. The doors' hinges were a joke. The poker was no larger than a small spatula and will require modification to keep them from falling off in normal use. (these already have twice) The log grate is no more than a small refrigerator shelf make of heavy wire.Needless to say I completed the assembly having had to furnish a couple of my own bolts. Given I am a glutton for punishment, out of sheer morbid curiosity my wife and I are going to road test the unit. This, after having had a discussion with "Tiffany" (the warranty person at Sunnydaze Decor.) She was very professional, courteous and engaging with the commitment to back their 1 year warranty one on one with me directly and not going through Amazon if the unit fails.I will give this a fair road test and if it hold up after the first few months I commit to updating this evaluation at that time. If it doesn't and I am not happy with offered resolution, Ya'll will get to find out how "snitty" I can get in the follow-up evaluation. Not that it will really matter.s in the big scheme of thingsHave a great day folks and God bless.T.

Good product for the money
Over all satisfied with this purchase. There was some damage to one side of the screen mesh. It appears to have happened during shipping.

Cheap construction,thin sheet metal
Not at all as represented, cheap material, thin metal, poorly made, poorly packaged, likely to arrive damaged. Very disappointed in construction and shipping package, arrived damaged from pieces rattling around in the box. A real disappointment, returned it immediately. 4 gauge steel as advertised in the product description is a joke. More like 20 gauge. Mesh on the sides is thin enough to break when loading wood into it. Totally overpriced for the quality.

Works great!
Took an hour or so to assemble by myself, everything fit together nicely and it looks great! Comes with a cover to protect from the rain.Have had a few fires in it, doesn't put off a lot of heat, but that might be by design. I find that the fires don't last very long (when compared to a normal fire pit). The coals fall into the collection tray and away from the rest of the wood. Once the tray fills up I bet this will stop happening though.

Very good value firepit
I really like the appearance and function of this fire pit. There is a 360 view of the fire. The doors are a little cheap and poorly fitting but I feel like I got good value and am happy with my purchase.Overall a solid and cool fire pit.I think it should last for a while.Rating 5 stars for value.
