No strainer, but the pour Spout in combination with the lid works perfectly to drain liquid.

Could the lid be used as a skillet?

It is too deep and narrow to use as a skillet, however I have cooked, fried, and baked a lot of different things in mine! It is ver Versatile!

Will the self reliance outfitters frying pan fit in this pot?

The skillet does not fit inside the pot, Thank you.
