My son was gifted this for his 8th birthday. He loves Turtles and he loves the idea that it has recycled plastic. He also is completely in love with how small and adorable the turtle is. However, the shell started to become misshapen and didn't allow for the baby turtle to sit inside of it the same way. So it kept falling out. He hasn't been using egg since, despite previously being over the moon for it.

THE Best toy for turtle-loving kids! It's small and cute and the turtle comes out of the shell! FYI: the turtle's head always peeks out of the shell a little. My little one doesn't mind.

My daughter loves it. She read about Hawksbill turtles and their habitat in school and after getting the toy asked to be taken to the library to find out more. A win-win!

My son likes this baby turtle a lot. It seems well-made. The egg shell and the turtle hatchling are separate. The egg is an oval shaped cup with a stiff interior skeleton and plush stuffing around it. The turtle is entirely soft, and it fits partially into the egg, as the photo shows. You can't stuff the entire turtle into the egg. I bought this with an adult stuffed hawksbill sea turtle mother.
