I initially bought it for my parents and they found it to be great so I bought another for my daughter to use with remote learning and listen to it myself. Sure enough, the sound improvement is great.To be completely up front, my parents were originally using a mix of their monitor/laptop speaker or a bluetooth speaker and my daughter was using a surface or connected monitor speaker or a bluetooth speaker. However, I found it lacking so figured I try this sound bar. The volume control is definitely a bonus, power via a USB connection makes it very easy to connect to the setup. With the coupon it came with on purchase, I found this to be a bargain buy. Please do know we're using this for school work and watching videos (basically general use) for just better audio in terms of clarity and volume. For that use, this is 5/5 for me considering ease (connections/simplicity, volume control), space (decently small sound bar that won't take up a lot of space like typically setups with two speakers and a base/subwoofer), and what you get (sound + value for money).

For whatever reason my computer does not have outside speakers so I was forced to listen on headphones. This is a pain because headphones usually come with a short cord which inhibits movement. You are forced to stay close to the computer. The cord also hurt your naked feet when you step on them lol. This sound bar eliminates all of those problems and more. They sound great! They almost sound as if the person speaking is right there in front of me. I love listening to Christian sermons which will be what the majority of what I will use this sound bar for. Thank God His message is coming out so clear! I received them yesterday. Today I will order another one just to put in the closet for future use. It was on special for $28 from $69.99. I am not an avid shopper therefore I don't pay much attention to specials but I will this time. I am almost tempted to buy 2 but that might be overkill. I am positive there are others out there that sound better but I am not taking the risk. I am satisfied with this one plus you can't beat the price. I am extremely happy I made this purchase. I am not the only one. Check out other people's reviews. Their comments are what convinced me.BOO! I went back to order another one and the price had gone up to $49.99. I guess I should count my blessings and be happy I bought them just in time.

I've had it for a few weeks now & was pretty satisfied w/ the sound volume & sound quality when connected to my desktop PC. However, when I connected it instead to a Smartphone, thinking that I could get a nice loud enough sound to be heard while working on the kitchen, & realized that it appears to give you a 1:1 amplification. In other words, it is only just as loud as the signal going in. It doens't sound any higher than the Smartphone when both volumes are all the way up. However, since the desktop has a better amplifier control, you can get the signal coming out w/ enough amplitude to heard well, like if you are watching a movie & you also need to hear what they are saying. Given the price, I expected this speaker to also provide you w/ enough amplification to compensate for for a low output signal, like that coming out of the Smartphone's speaker output. Otherwise, it's a good product.

This is a very nice sound bar speaker with a very bad flaw. The channels are reversed so when the left speaker is supposed to be playing (when sound is coming from the left), the speaker on the right plays and vice versa. This makes video games where sound positioning is crucial and movies or videos where sound happens on specific sides very confusing. The sounds are coming from the wrong speaker on the wrong side of the sound bar. For example, I was playing Modern Warfare and heard shooting coming from the right side. So naturally I moved my character to the right, when in reality the shooting was coming from the left and the enemy player got me.The flaw is a shame because overall the sound bar sounds great. It has good range for a competitively priced speaker and it can get loud. Considering it’s compact size, being usb powered, and only being 10 watts (two 5 watt speakers) it definitely can produce loud quality sound. At max volume there is some distortion but that goes for most speakers. Voices are crisp and clear and music sounds full.The build quality is fantastic. The top, back, and bottom are brushed metal and the front has a mesh metal grill. The volume dial is also metal and feels great. Overall, this little sound bar has some weight to it.For the price this is a great quality speaker IF you don’t mind about the direction where the sound is supposed to be coming from. If all you really do is watch YouTube videos or listen to music then this is easily a great speaker. But if you play video games where sound positioning is important, or like watching movies or videos and getting realistic immersive audio positioning, then this will definitely annoy you and make you contemplate returning it.Since I got this speaker for under 20 dollars before tax on a Black Friday deal, I decided I am going to keep it. Overall the sound bar looks and sounds great. When it comes to playing video games where I need to know which side sounds are coming from, I guess I’ll just have to deal with it or use my headset.Side note: I haven’t tested the microphone yet because I don’t really plan on using it.
