Fits Audi A6
Same part number as noted in my oil change receipts from the dealer for my 2014 A6. It fits perfectly on the 2.0t engine.

Not the place to scrimp, get this genuine VW / Audi filter.
Perfect for my Audi a3 8p 2.0 tsi (tfsi). Do it warmish; every 5k, not 10; use Euro VW/Audi spec oil (not just any Mobile 1 or synthetic); and use this OEM filter, or OEM manufacturers like Mann.Seems like the male/male threaded piece with the plastic cage attched always sticks in the housing when removing filter, though. Not too difficult, but it's a bit awkward to unscrew that after the filter is out, and it could be confusing if you are new to these and take off a female threaded filter while your new one looks to be one male-threaded part. There's no faceted place for a wrench on this male/male piece and crushing threads always feels wrong, even when it's being replaced. Also, I love topside oil changes with myti-vac, but sure hate the way this particular filter set up hangs on to oil, even after engine is drained, then dumps it when unscrewing. Unlike my other upside-down, topside-filter cars (Mercedes), it really dumps and it's tough to get rags all the way round the base. Do it, though, or you'll be smelling your spill as it travels it's unreachable path for weeks..When still under dealer's service, they did oil change without that extra care. Soon after, when changing wheels, they misdiagnosed a leak with ~$400+fix needed. I took it to a rent-a-lift, and could see the path up to the dealer's own spill at filter housing, cleaned it up, done 25K and five of my own filter changes with no "leak" at all.)

Authentic filter
This appears to be an authentic volkswagen oil filter. It is really easy to do oil changes in my VW Eos as it sits on top of the motor. Lot cheaper to change oil myself than pay someone.

It's good, and what you need.
WIthout a scientific analysis, you're not going to know if any filter is doing the best job possible. But, since this is a VW product I trust it's working as it should. Since I never bought a diesel, I trust VW. They usually make high quality products, and this appears to be another high quality product, whatever the actual source.
