Clam-I-Am! All About the Beach (The Cat in the Hat's Learning Library)

Super cute book. We love all of Dr Seuss learning library books but this one did a nice deep dive into the beach and all things related to it. It’s less about clams than I anticipated but ultimately didn’t mind.

I bought this book for my 3-year-old grandson after spending several days at the beach with him. He brought a few clam shells home as souvenirs. He loved the book and asked his mom to read it several times the day it arrived.

This book makes me happy as a clam. Clam-I-Am!: All About the Beach (Cat in the Hat's Learning Library) is a great hardcover book perfect for any child's library. Its a bit longer than most Dr. Seuss books we are used to, as we like to read these before bed. But still my 3 year old loves listening to it, asking questions, and learning all about clams from where they live, and what they eat, to how to tell their age. Such fun, I love how they blend the classic rhyming of Dr. Seuss with so much knowledge for these books, they are absolutely awesome and a great addition for anyone's bookshelves. Thanks <3

I highly recommend this book. I purchased it for my pre-k daughter a week before our family's beach vacation. She can't get enough of it and we're still reading it one month later. I found it entertaining and engaging. The animations and story line are clever and fun - exactly what we all expect from Dr Seuss. We learned about seaweed, seagulls, tides, waves, jellyfish, mollusks and more. The most amazing part was how quickly our daughter absorbed the lessons in Clam-I-Am. When waves almost took our towels out to sea she said, "daddy, the tide is high." When we saw a jellyfish washed up on the beach she said, "daddy, don't touch it, they sting." Not bad for a city kid.

Nice addition to our Dr Seuss collection

Bought this for my granddaughter and remembered how Dr Seuss was so special in my life as a kid, a father and now a grandfather. Timeless

We love this series. Keep in mind that my son is four, so he needs these and the way they organize the basic ideas within these topics so he can frame his thoughts correctly. We are not so worried about every detail being exact, but just on him picking up a few bits of info, while getting a handle on the basic way things are set-up in the various scientific topics that this book series covers. This may seem like a review of the whole series and not just this book, but really I think they are consistent. If you are a more sensitive parent for certain topics, feel free to dodge the shark book, but we like them all, including that one. We have every one about the ocean, as well as the ones about bugs and pets. They are all consistently great with vivid illustrations and generous details.

We put this in our beach rental and both the kids and their parents love it
