John Deere: Touch and Feel: Tractor (Touch & Feel) Board book – January 21, 2008

Bought this book for my grandsons 1st Christmas and didn’t know I purchased a “used” book and yes it’s very used! Paid way too much and I didn’t gift it! Watch what it lists!

My 2 1/2 year old twins have recently become interested in tractors so I bought this book so they could learn more about them. The book is nice because it has just a couple sentences and something for kids to feel on each page. The textures don't feel real accurate but my kids enjoy touching them regardless. The book is also the perfect size for toddlers to hold in their small hands and it will easily slip into a diaper bag or good-size purse if you are out and about. I think it's a good book for kids who are interested in tractors and it gives them a basic idea of what the objects feel like. I would recommend this good board book for anyone who has a toddler who likes tractors or for any John Deere fan!

We are a farming family that is all about John Deere so we had to have this board book. Its the perfect size to take along and easy to handle. I like the tactile or "feeler" pages as you can actually feel them unlike some other tactile learning books. I am a little disappointed as there aren't many examples of crop farming which is what we do (it has examples of mostly ranching and construction). The only thing I'm hesitant about is the tactile surface for the "spiky grass". I hope little pieces don't come off if my little one picks at it. I'll try to post an update about that and the durability later. Stay tuned!

I love the idea of this book. My son is 2 years old and currently obsessed with tractors so he loves it. I wish the textures were a little more extreme and varied. I realize there are limitations as to what you can do in a book but I wish the tire rubber was more rubbery. The "grass" is nothing like grass and 2 or 3 pages all use a shiny paper as the texture. It's still worth it for the money and the tractor pictures alone though.

I bought the book for Christmas but couldn't wait to give it to my 2 year-old grandson. He's in potty-training and is a real little man who loves to "read" books while in the "library". He loves, loves, loves tractor's and it took me about 15 minutes to get him off his potty chair after he'd finished his business because he didn't want to put the book down. He loves the pictures and all the textures and a couple days later was pointing out the differences in the tractor's he was seeing as we were driving. If you have a toddler tractor-loving son or grandson, he'll love this book.

My baby boy loves tractors.I don't know why since we live in NYC.Incredibly he doesn't pay much attention to this book.Probably because almost all of the pictures portrait green tractors and he loves to see different colored ones.The "touch and feel" part is not very noticeable.I don't dislike the book because it fits the purpose but for some reason my baby doesn't like it much.I bought the tractor one with wheels in same order and he loves this one much better.He plays with it everyday.Again, is not that I don't recommend this book is just that my baby is not attracted to it.And as we all know every baby is different.Nice durable cardboard material and quality print.

My almost 3 year old son loves tractors with all his heart. I don't share his passion so for me this book is boring as all get out but to him it is pure magic. We have a sizeable book collection of mom-approved stories and child-approved fact books. This one is his very favorite. He will go from family member to family member to get us all to read this over and over. If your child loves tractors it's a must have.

For under $7, I found this book to be great. Some reviewers said they were hoping for tractors of different colors, but this is a JOHN DEERE book, therefore all tractors are green. It is short, brief and simple -- probably better for a younger child. You can feel the grass, the gravel, the tires, and see the reflective lights. For under $7, I was happy with my purchase.

Disappointed how small this book was for the price and there isn't much touch and feel
