iCRIMPHandy Ratchet Wire Crimping Tool, for AWG22-10 Heat Shrink Connectors

Wire crimping tool. Husband purchased for a travel tool bag he uses. Reports that this crimper is a good all around crimping tool and works as you expect it to. It is comfortable to use. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. All of my reviews reflect my honest, personal experience with the reviewed item - your experience may be different. I am not influenced by any outside source. I receive/accept NO free products or discounts that are not available to all shoppers- ever. For some reason our shopper ranks are no longer visible - so, to give you a little more info about me, I am a top 50 reviewer (#30 the highest rank achieved). Those numbers used to fluctuate over time - up and down but I noticed that they stopped updating regularly - perhaps to phase them out. It's a shame because it did help you see who has been around the longest and who is a trustworthy reviewer.  I've been doing reviews for over 25 years with Amazon - over 6,000 reviews posted, those reviews have been viewed well over 50,000 times, including over 24,000 likes. Bottom line, I pay for all my stuff, just like you do.

I bought these because years of busted knuckles was making it difficult to crimp connectors correctly. I should have done this years ago, but I was stubborn. The handles are easy to hold, even with work gloves on. The crimps smash the connectors to the perfect compression. In other words, it doesn't overdo it and destroy the connectors. Easy to use. Great value for the money spent. Very, very happy with this product.

Easy to use and functions well.

It makes a nice, even, secure crimp.The handles have to be squeezed pretty hard to get them to unlock.A little tough on arthritis in my hand, but bearable.

I needed crimpers specifically for heat shrink connectors since my regular crimpers were either not getting a proper crimp or they would damage the heat shrink. I took a chance on these because I like the compact design. They are much smaller than other crimpers. I first bought a IWISS branded battery terminal crimpers and was very happy with the quality. So I wanted this connector to be the same brand. With a little research I found that the iCrimp is made by IWISS and this particular crimpers is an improved design that was designed with input from users for better functionality. If I used these daily I’d probably get a higher end one like the Ancor brand but for Diy’ers this is perfect. My only complaint is that the handles start to slip off when using. Not a huge deal and a little glue and they will stay put. Also the order of the sizes (yellow, blue, and red is backwards compared to other crimpers but the design makes sense since the larger terminals go where the jaw opens wider. There is more than enough power to crimp the yellow terminals even though they are farthest away for the fulcrum. Not much else I can say about these except to give them a try. I do not think you’ll be disappointed. Aloha!

Tool grips need improvement. Slide off too easily.

Stop being frustrated with cheap crimping tools. I own a couple of quality crimping tools but this is my favorite. The size and ease of use make this one top notch.
