Good combination of story and science
This is an entertaining read that weaves very decent storytelling (spanning several of the Doctor's incarnations) with an overview of related scientific concepts, explained simply and with solid footing on the history of science. The title, so far, seems a bit misleading though -- I expected speculation on the future of theory/technology with potential to fill the bag of the Doctor's many tricks, so I'm taking one star away. Still, an entertaining and reasonably informative read.

easy to understand
I started to read this in the Denver Public Library while on vacation. I couldn't finish it but felt it is well written and easy to understand so I got it for my home library.

Doctor Who
This was a very interesting and informative book. Even though the show is science fiction some of the concepts are real today.

Can We do what The Doctor Does?
I've been a Dr. Who fan since David Baker played The Doctor in the 70's and have even watched the earlier Dr. Who's on Netflix. Both the character, the plots, and especially the special effects have improved over time! I never worried about the actual science behind the series, but was interested to learn of the actual scientific basis for many of the episodes - and what is impossible - without the magical abilities of the Tardis. I am sure there are more episodes that are scientifically based than the few demonstrated in this book, and am looking forward to an additional book by this author.
