Why did you pick this product vs others?: I bought 2, one for each of my girls. They love them! Easy to clean. Came in on time.

My dwarf hamster used to be shy around this little coconut hut at first, but once I cleaned out his main burrow, he moved into this one, and he's been living in it ever since. Cleaning it is pretty simple as well; I occasionally soak and scrub it with mild soap, so it's still in great condition. I'm impressed that it doesn't retain odors all that much, either. My little ham gives it a 10/10.

I bought this for my Syrian hamster. When he was younger and smaller, I thought he'd use it as a place to sleep, but he never did. Like most hamsters, he prefers to dig a hole and sleep under his bedding or in a more hidden area. Instead, I used this as a place to hide treats as a form of enrichment for him. Even though my hamster doesn't use this item for the purpose I intended, it's solidly built and looks very nice in my hamster's enclosure. If I gave this to my mice, I think they'd be much more likely to use it as a place to sleep. It's a good size for one Syrian hamster and has enough room for at least two mice to cuddle.

hammie (i know, original) loves her coconut. i got hammie in january 21 and have gone through 2 coconuts at this point. if shes not running around her tank, she is in her coconut. the only unfortunate thing is that hammie likes to pee in her coconut so it stinks. this is expected because it absorbs her pee and there's nothing i can do about it other than replace the coconut. i really dont have a problem doing this since she loves her coconut and they are built well for her. it's very sturdy, but she is also not a chewer so im not sure how it will hold up against chewing. hammie is a dwarf hamster and about half the size of my palm. this is the perfect size for her where she has a little extra room but it's cozy for her. i wouldn't recommend for any hamster bigger than the palm of your hand.

It's a hollow coconut shell with a hole in it attached to a not-very-sturdy stand. I bought it because I thought it looked cute. My gerbils hop in and out of it occasionally but they don't stay in it. So it is exactly what it seems to be, but it's not very entertaining for my gerbils at least, and it's just taking up valuable cage real-estate.

Ever had to ground your hamster from what is supposed to be a bed? Cracker Barrel... a.k.a crapper barrel per my 3 year old is currently grounded. Instead of using her coconut for sleep time she used it as an escape accomplise. As pictured you can see C.B. has decided to stand on top and open her lid. This was the second time. The first time she let herself out and took herself to my 7 year Olds room. She comes running in my room at 6:40 this morning crying hysterically! "Mom! The hamster is free! She's under my bed! Come see!!!" I go in there and bend down. I say come here cracker barrel. She comes running out to me. But keep in mind we've had her 2 weeks and still cannot hold her because she's always on the go. So she squirms out of my hands and runs behind the toy box. We get her ball and I set it down and she climbs right in. Thank goodness I trained her to get in her ball independently. 😂😂😂 I'm so glad it took under 3 minutes to catch her. Phew! So then I let her roll for a bit. Put her back in her tank. And not 5 minutes later I hear her tank lid tink. As pictured she is standing on top of her coconut house trying to let herself back out. WITH HER CHEEKS FULL OF FOOD. She was trying to pack up and move or go on vacation. 😂😂😂😂 so ya I give it a 5 out of 5 because my hamster was able to multipurpose it. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Mr. Hamza absolutely loves his coconut hut. He used to burrow in his bedding near his wheel but I was worried he wasn't always warm enough. I got this coconut hut, gave him a couple strips of paper towel, and he has made his little house warm and cozy. He spends a lot of time in there!

The product is very nice, quite a thick coconut which is good as it keeps my Gerbils insulated. However I had no idea how to attach the base so heat left it off however they still love it! Great product and would recommend! It’s very easy to clean as you can tip anything out and £5 is a good value for the price. You can find these at pet stores which are a little bigger in size however still work amazing!
