Pure cosiness. This is ensured by the felt slippers called Chamerau. The footbed is made of heat-insulating, insulating cork. Stitching in the same colour leather. The slippers are quick to put on and take off and the small Giesswine logo stands for great quality. Here, your feet stay warm without sweating.

Incredibly well-built and comfortable slippers that are worth that bit extra
How can I describe my new Giesswein slippers? Well they're quite substantial. By substantial I don't mean clumpy and unfashionable - they're not flimsy or thin, and I've no fear that they're going to fall apart. The soles are really substantial with a good tread, so that you can obviously wear them indoors and won't go head over apex falling downstairs (at least not due to your slippers!), but can also pop out to the bin or to feed the birds.Being a slip-on style, they're really to slip on, not surprisingly. They have a slightly raised back though, so your feet actually stay in them rather than slipping out. The footbed is really comfortable and seems to have molded to my feet. The uppers are wool felt. Now wool felt isn't something I've worn before, but when I bought them I was slightly concerned because I'm allergic to wool. If I wear wool next to my skin I itch like crazy, and as a baby I apparently came out in a rash when put in a wool vest (I say apparently because I was too young to remember really, and I must clarify that the vest was a vest with some wool fibre in it - I'm not that old that I was dressed in a knitted vest!). Anyway, back to the slippers…the wool felt keeps your feet warm when it's chilly, and doesn't make them hot and sweaty when it's hot. So far, no smelly feet/slippers from wearing them either!I don't do flowery, fluffy, bows and such like, and these slippers are nicely simple and don't look ridiculous when you go to answer the door wearing them, and more than once I've almost gone out wearing them because they're so comfy. They're unisex, and look equally good on men and women.Yes, they cost a fair bit more than your average slippers, but they seem incredibly well made, and I'm confident that they're built to last and will last me a good many years.

Don’t last long.
Have worn Giesswein slippers all my life but am very disappointed with these. They are already wearing away at the front and have developed two large holes in the sides. Such a shame and a waste of money.

Good fit, but very inflexible
I needed to add an extra memory foam insert to make these wearable, as the footbed is very hard. Size wise they are spot on.

Perfect fit
I was a bit worried about the price BUT the quality is superb. I know I will be vitrually living in these slippers.

Great working from home slippers, I spend all day in them. Comfortable and well fitting. I'm a 5, got a 5, perfect!

Falling apart
I have only had these slippers for a few months and the bottom part of one has come unglued from the toe to the arch, the other has a huge hole along the outside stitching. These are too expensive to be falling apart within months.

Bad sizing and bad returns process
This show is too small for it’s supposed size - compounding my disappointment was how I tried to return it but the process failed, nobody came to pick it up for months, quite shoddy throughout.
