Will this fit a 760\20 commemorative edition?

I'm not to sure but I don't see why it wouldn't fit. But you might want to call crosmans customer service for advice on that.

Why is it necessary to order both the Valve and pump cup and also order the reseal kit?

That would be redundant. It is not necessary. The new valve and pump cup will fix the problem completely. The seal kit is for those who wish to take the old valve apart and replace the seals instead of buying a complete unit. The kit with the new valve and pump cup fixed mine and it works great.

how do you install the rebuild kit

First make sure the Rifle is not loaded. Empty all BB's and pellets. 1.With a Flat head screw driver remove the stock. 2.On the left side and toward the front of the pump housing remove a small retaining clip on the pivot pin with a small flat head screw driver. (Note: be very careful not to loose while prying off) Next with a small nail or punch drive out the pivot pin. 3.with a 5/64 allen wrench loosen the set screw on the top of the pump housing and slide forward. 4.Remove the Pump handle and pump assembly by sliding forward. this has the rubber plunger on it. set assembly aside. (The rubber plunge can be removed with a pair of pliers using a twisting motion)5.Remove the cap on the cocking bolt on the right side (if equipped) 6.Remove the three screws on the right side of the receiver and lift off the right half very carefully.At this point take a picture of the assembly and note the locations for reassembly 7. Lift the barrel and pump housing from the receiver with a slight twisting motion to clear the trigger assembly.8. Remove the white plastic end cap with spring attached from the back of the pump housing9. With a long stick or cleaning rod push the Air chamber out the front of the housing (Take note of the position of the air discharge orifice on the top of the air chamber for re installing the new air chamber)10. Lightly oil or use a gun grease on all part prior to re-assembly 11. re-assemble in the reverse orderBefore putting the right half of the receiver back together check the cocking bolt to make sure it functions (it may have to be slightly cocked to re-assemble)I hope this helps.You can also watch a video on line by googling (how to dis-assemble crosman 760 air rifle)

Great product and shipped fast

This product is great I'm giving it a review because the packing slip even came with a parts diagram for the assembly although I did not need that but they took the time to send that with the package, that being said after assembling the parts which took 10 minutes my grandfather's 760 Pumpmaster he handed down to me is now working like it did when you bought it back in the late 70's.

These kits worked great on a made in 1984 and a made in 2003 crosman 760 pumpmaster bb/pellet rifle. Highly recommend.

I chose the replacement assembly over buying just the O-rings because for the price it made it very simple and easy to repair my air rifle. the only disappointment was that the replacement was aluminum instead of brass which gave me some concern about the durability. but after all is said and done it works as well as the original. I just hope it lasts as long as the original.

Brought my 760 back to life

My 15-20 year old Crosman 760 pump BB/pellet gun would not hold air in the chamber, but was in otherwise great condition. After watching a YouTube video on disassembling this gun to replace the pump cap and o-ring, I decided to give it a try. This rebuild kit was exactly what I needed to restore the compressed air chamber so the gun would work again. I have only shot a few rounds through the gun now that it is fixed, but it was plenty for me to determine that these parts were all that I needed. I recommend purchasing some of the crosman gun oil as well. It is around $3 and will keep the chamber working properly. The only difference between these replacement parts and the original parts is that the replacement part is made of aluminum so it is much lighter than the original brass part.
