REVLONTotal Color Permanent Hair Color, Clean and Vegan, 100% Gray Coverage Hair Dye, 535 Medium Golden Mahogany, 3.5 oz

After having read some of the reviews people have written on Revlon hair color, I decided to purchase two colors. The Revlon #60 & Revlon #535.The reason for using two colors, was to achieve a similar salon look (3D look). Since, CoronoVirus began I avoided going to my hair salon or any hair salon. Although, I have never colored my hair myself, I thought I could be adventurous and try coloring my hair myself.After reading the direction of each box.- I mixed the Cream Colorant (2) with Developer Bottle (1) for each Revlon box.- Once each color was mixed in its corresponding bottle. Using one small plastic disposable bowl, I poured 1/2 of each bottle (1) color #60 and bottle (1) color #535 into the plastic bowl.- I mixed the colors in the plastic bowl. Then using the brush (used for coloring hair) I began to color only the roots of my hair as directed by the Revlon instructions part B (Touch-up Application).- Then waited 25 min.- Then using the brush, I added only the remainder of the bottle (1) #535 to the entire hair making sure the roots and all my head is covered by this bottle #535.- Waited an additional 10 min.- Once time was up, I then followed the Revlon directions which reads; " Once time is up, add a small amount of warm water to your hair and gently massage mixture through, with gloves on"....- I also used the conditioner that was included with the Revlon package as directed.- I purchased the #535 Revlon color from Amazon. And purchased #60 Revlon from Wal-Mart by my house ( at the time Amazon did not have #60 ).-Another benefit of Revlon is there was NO sharp, toxic odor.I believe, that many of the Revlon colors can be mixed to achieve a salon look. As many women know, in salon the hairstylists add two-three colors to achieve the look the clients desire. This also gives a 3D look we look for, which is not achieved by one color alone.

I had brown hair with a lot of blonde highlights. The blonde was starting to get real brassy even with blue shampoo and conditioner so I thought I’d give this a try since I cannot go to my stylist.The color is a deep brown- red but for me more red which I love. There isn’t a strong smell and it was very easy to apply. I have thick shoulder length straight hair and 1 box was perfect. My hair was soft after the application and does not feel damaged. I have already ordered 2 more boxes for later.

I love this hair color. I tried it originally because of the price being lower than some of the other brands I have used in the past. The color intensity and saturation is almost as good as some of the more expensive brands. It lasts the same amount of time with very little fade on the darker colors. It doesn't have that stink of ammonia that comes from other hair colors which is a big plus for me because I can't stand that. And finally maybe just as importantl is that it does not stain your skin like other hair colors do! I got this stuff all over my neck and shoulders because I'm not all that careful about my application. With any other permanent hair color, I would have been wearing that stain on my neck and shoulders for over a week. But when I stepped into the shower to rinse the hair color out and came out of the shower all of those "stains" we're gone. Furthermore there was no staining on my hairline edge or my face. This color is almost perfect. If I would have anything negative to say about this hair color it is that I wish they had more shades available. The color I used to use was actually more of a deep plum or raspberry-ish auburn.... like burgundy. The color I'm using in this brand is not the same at all but I guess I can sacrifice my fun, quirky color for this product because I'm really mostly satisfied.... 98% satisfied with everything about it.

I haven't had a chance to use this yet but really looking forward to it. Unfortunately the color representation wasn't as it appeared to be. The color that shows on the box once I received it is like a vibrant strawberry blond. It's much lighter and golden reddish (not so much brown). I'm keeping it and will mix with another color of the same type I have coming in. That's the risk of on-line shopping I guess. I do wish it was a bit better match as it looked more brown and dark in viewing the pictures.

So like all of us who are accustomed to going to a salon for hair color, a new day dawned when Covid-19 made that impossible.It’s been decades since I’ve colored my own hair, but this fabulous product is making me question myself!Love the warm, natural glow. I wish I could add before/after pics.I just may do this again!
