Superior Tactical PVS-7 Night Vision Goggle GEN 3 A-Grade

Cheapest of all PVS-7 NVGs out there! For my first time using them, they leave a good impression. Came with bag, headwear w/ brow pads (S, M, & L), manual, sacrificial lense, fog lenses, pinhole cap, cleaning kit, and other small things. First time using them was like "Night and Day!" there were little specks of blemish around the center (not a big deal, better than a large blemish). They feel like 3rd Gen NODs, but i cannot confirm. Some research indicates that these are Gen2+ level 3 (subpar to gen3). I could make out constellations at night in the light polluted suburbs (new moon). You can see the Andromeda Galaxy. I believe it auto-dims when you look at a bright light. Infrared is very useful indoors. The only thing that sorta bothers me is the LED lights. They can appear as 2 darkish reflections, but a little focus gets them out of the way. They came bubble wrapped in a used Amazon box. A satisfied customer.

I am pretty happy with these. For the price their a great value. Very clear, very minor spots (typical for most nvg). Comes with soft case, skull crusher, manual, sacrificial lens. Legit product.

I purchased these and less than six months later they stopped working. Contacted Superior Tac and requested a repair. They told me to send them in I did so, a representative from their company wrote me and said the intensifier works fine, the housing has an issue and they were waiting for a replacement. Three weeks later after my requests for information were ignored they showed up on my doorstep, still not working.Edit: The housing wasn't screwed together all the way which was causing the issue which was the sellers mistake, but I managed to fix it, seller DID offer to process a refund and offered yearly maintenance for the trouble. All in all I cant complain to much when they were going to make it right.

Overall the value for the money seems to be very good. With that said there are no serial markings on the unit itself. I doubt they are actually new. If you got to their actual website they sell these units for much more money. There are more spots on the lenses than what is in the pictures in the description. There was no tube spec datasheet that came with them. Which is why I don't believe they are new. I did look up the product number of the tube and it is Gen 3. although I did not look up the batch number which would show what year it was manufactured. I did not really need to to be convinced that they are not new as advertised. The unit itself is priced as a used unit.I actually bought two units. The first one had several spots closer to the center of the tube. I returned for a refund and the second unit I got had less but still a few spots. Neither were as spotlesswhat is shown in the pictures.All of that said the spots I was accepting of because of the price of the unit compared to other outlets. The unit does function well and came packaged well.Overall I docked a star because who sells a new product with no serial numbers or data sheet?
