As you can see from my pictures, and video, I used Plasti dip to make mine a flat black to match the other lighting trim and AC vents in my guest room. This was very easy and worked great. I've been used a four and a half inch hole saw and within 10 minutes, the first generation speaker was off of the nightstand and out of the way. I have paired this with a matching first gen Google Mini and it is an excellent, and easy, speaker solution for a guest bedroom that doesn't get used that often.
