Very great first dash cam very clear great tracking good for accidents. I’ve known a lot of people that had this and I think it’s a very good dash cam

This is my first dash cam, so I can't compare it to others. I chose Nexar based on reviews, the app, and free cloud storage. Setting it up was very easy. Suction cups usually don't hold, but this one is sturdy and tight. They provide ample cord length to snake it around the windshield and seat and provided some clips to keep the cord in place. After downloading the app and turning the car in, the device paired itself practically instantly. Videos are clear, day or night. If you want audio in your drive videos you must manually enable it in settings. One major disadvantage is it doesn't have motion detection or shock sensors so if you are hit while parked, it won't catch anything. It's only on when the car is on. Others have mentioned it only starts recording 5 minutes into the drive, but I haven't experienced this. Mine is already recording while I'm still taking stuff out of my pockets before I pull out of the driveway. So far I love it, but if I were to get another, I'd definitely choose a dash cam that will turn on and record from motion/shock.

I purchased this dashcam back in 2020. Been using it since. First and only dash am I’ve ver had. Installation is easy, and the app works great. There’re updates here and there so I’m glad Nexar didn’t just set this model aside due to age. I’ve had a few hiccups here and there, trios not being recorded, only have the gps map show, with no footage. Simple reset fixed it. The clarity and picture quality are amazing. I did notice that the audio recording died out - everything sounds muffled. Could be the mic gave out - but I turned off sound recording anyways. I haven’t experienced battery drain like most others here (could be since I keep my phone plugged in for CarPlay). This dashcam has paid for itself, I was a victim of a hit and run - and if it weren’t for the dashcam (got vehicle type, color, and license plate), I would’ve been left paying thousands out of pocket. I was also fortunate enough to purchase this before Nexar began their subscription service. Other than a few hiccups here and there, it is worth the money.

If I could leave zero stars I would. I am less than pleased with this product. From the time I installed it, it wouldn’t connect. Then once install was complete, I kept having to re-pair to the dashcam every time I got in to drive. It got to the point where the dashcam wouldn’t even power on. I finally contacted nexar and after them asking me to send pics and videos of what the dashcam was doing along with much more troubleshooting and they finally sent me a replacement. The replacement arrived unsealed and also does not power on. I suspect the unit they sent me back was the same one I sent to them per the replacement process. At this point I’m pretty much done with them, I wanted a full refund but they said they can’t as it’s outside their 30 day return window and want to send me another replacement. It has just been a huge hassle and not worth it all around. I’m thinking to take the loss on this and just find another dashcam entirely. Just know if you also end up having to contact nexar for any warranty or replacement issues you will be put through a very frustrating process. Better to get a different brand.

I purchased this as a gift for my fiance, and he cannot stop raving about it. I saw an ad about this camera on Facebook, and decided to take the plunge. Someone recently hit my fiance's car, and having a dash cam offers a bit more peace of mind in case something like that happens. He was able to get the camera set up quickly, and link it to his phone without issues. The video quality is amazing, day or night, and he's able to record long periods of video without needing to clear out the camera memory. The camera will also overwrite old footage if it runs out of storage, without needing to be manually cleared. He is absolutely obsessed with this, and is so happy with this camera so far. Hoping to get one for myself when it finally comes back in stock! Update, July 2022: I ended up buying myself a dash cam, and it paid itself off earlier this year by catching a hit and run driver! My car was parked in a parking lot and hit, and the person drove off. There was very obvious damage to my door and it ended up being an expensive fix. My dash cam turned on and caught the license plate, car color, and car type clearly during the night. We were able to find the driver and they were held responsible for the damages they did to my car. I also bought one for my dad, who is very excited to learn how to use his. This little dash cam is great, and I am so happy we have them for our vehicles!

I have had different dashboard camera's before. This one is the the most expensive one I bought so far and it has been worth every penny. As far as installation, it was very easy to stick it to my windshield with the suction cup. I loved that it came with cord clips to tie up the cord around your car. I spent a good 30 minutes stringing the cord throughout my windshield and under the passenger seat so the cord wasn't in the way when I am driving. As long as it has a power source, it turns on when the car turns on, making it very worry free. The cloud makes it very easy to access the video's it records. No more taking the SD card out and downloading it to my computer. I can do that directly from their website now. You can create your own clips from what the camera recorded (very convenient if you get into an accident or just want to show your friends something cool you caught on your dashcam). I have had this dashcam for about a month now and I love it. It's kinda similar in size to a GoPro, so don't worry about it taking up a whole lot of space. I can barely see it behind my rearview mirror. This was definitely worth the price I got it for.

Great little camera. Clever use of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to talk with your phone and upload drives and key moments to your phone and the cloud. However, this can use your battery power and if you don’t charge your phone as you drive, this might be an issue. My only other issue is that sometimes drives don’t appear on your phone. They’re all saved on the Micro SD card, so it’s not a major problem. Overall though, it’s neat and discreet, which is what I was after.

Pros: The video quality is really good. The Nexar app is very user friendly and records all the trips automatically once you sync your phone with the dash cam. You also have an option to select memory space on your phone to store the videos. This buy is spectacular value for money. GPS an added bonus in case your car lacks Apple CarPlay or Anroid Auto. Cons: Not sure how useful is the parking feature since it records the car front once collision or disturbance is identified. Overall an amazing product , Cheers

Devuelvo el articulo porque me interesaba tener un almacenamiento en la nube como se anuncia en la descripción, sin embargo, el artículo es de excelente calidad, pero el acceso a la app Nexar es imposible ya que no hay cobertura en México para el almacenamiento en línea de los videos que va grabando el dispositivo, solo se grabarán las imágenes y video de manera local. El código SMS que se requiere para acceder a la aplicación no es generado, el servicio al cliente es súper rápido, contestan en inglés, pero solo confirmaron que México no tiene la disponibilidad de almacenamiento online, este era para mí la justificación de la compra y lo que marcaba la diferencia con otras cámaras disponibles en el mercado.

Had it for almost a year now and works very well even at cold temperatures (-30°C) and love it, already sent a video as witnesses of an accident and police received it in a second Clear night recording, can see every details either day and night (Edit): After 4 years of owning it, still works like new!
