DEWALT 64377200 Guard

Yes, it fit my DeWALT D28402 angle grinder and allowed me to convert it to a cutting tool! This type 1 guard is made of much thicker metal than the type 27 guard that is meant for the grinding, and has coverage on both the top and bottom, assuming you hold it horizontally! It is super heavy duty! See the pictures from the D280402 manual to show which guard and what accessories are needed for each application. I used the "DeWALT All Purpose 5 pack DW8061B5 4" Cutting Wheel" for my particular metal cutting task. Be safe, and wear eye protection!

i got a different angle grinder, and i didnt realize it came with a type 27 handguard (for angled base grinding wheels) instead of a type 1 (this one, for straight cutoff wheels). i bought this because another user said this one worked with it and because getting one from the oem was a hassle, and lo and behold it does. its not a 100% fit, but its about 99.9% with a tiny bit of adjusting due to this intended grinder and the actual grinder being slightly different. it locks solid and secure and doesnt move at all while in use, which is what is important.

Shield works well once you get it on. Getting it on is a little tricky.

DOES NOT fit DCG412. Dewalt says to use Part Number 397661-01. Few descriptions of that part include this grinder.

Fits just fine and works on my WEN angle grinder.

Quality: It's heavier duty than the type27 guard that came standard with my Dewalt Angle grinder (DWE402) But it's useless since its not for my angle grinderThe angle grinder I purchased though, has the whole Keyless, guard system, so basically you flip a little spring loaded lever right next to the spindle; guard can rotate clock wise (Spindle facing operator) into whatever position you need it to. Its super nice.THIS IS THE WRONG GUARD FOR THE DWE402. Just in case your like me and getting ready to fire off on that buy button. Just a heads up!

This is a review of the Dewalt 643772-00 Guard.Summary – This is a quick review as this is a very simple item. The item is actually a perfect fit and being used for my Porter – Cable PC60TAG 4 ½” angle grinder as it did not come with a guard for cut off use.This is a type 1 guard designed for cut off vs. grinding with an angle grinder. The material is very durable and I could not imagine how it would break with ongoing use. I also like how easy and quick it is to use as it has a clamp type of design to lock on. (Does not come loose with use so far with me which I was curious if it would.) So far, nothing to complain about and it is working perfectly so far with no issues.As with all my reviews, I will update this review should this develop any issues with ongoing use.

Perfect Type 1 Guard for Dewalt DCG412 20 volt grinder which is Wider than the Guard issued. The Type 1 guard is for use for Cutting and Flap Discs. The Guard is well made....but lining up to place on can be a little tricky to place on properly.
