Does this help with carpal tunnel symptoms?

My son has cerebral palsy and I buy this splint for him to prevent contractures. It is very rigid and strong. Most splints that are for carpal tunnel aren't strong enough to hold him. This one doesn't cause redness and rubbing like some do and he finds it to be very comfortable. It's his favorite.

Is the bottom splint (palm side) removable? Or does anyone know of a brace that only has dorsal/top splints (from forearm to back of hand)?

Does the adjustable flat brace help prevent your wrist from twisting?

With palms out in front of body facing up you can roll to make palms face down. This is a factor of elbow joint more than wrist. What this brace does wonderfully is stop wrist from flexing up and down as if on floor on hands and knees causing hand to be nearly right angle to ulnar bone or bending opposite way as if to scratch your knee. Make sense? Hope so. This brace is fabulous. Got the first one from Cleveland Clinic orthopedic surgeon. Ordered two more, one for each hand from here.

does this brace cause sweating

I have not found this brace to cause any sweating. I have used it for several months now and really, really like it. Great brace.
