Better than Medela and Lansinoh!
Super thin but they stay on!! I got the Medela ones in the hospital and it was helpful for my baby to learn how to latch. I tried the Lansinoh but they were too small and my baby didn't like those. I didn't like how either one didn't stay on very well and it was hard to get my baby to drink and keep these on without them falling on the floor in the middle of the feed. I was looking for a shield that would actually stay on and this was recommended to me so I thought why not give it a shot. This is definitely way better than the medela and lansinoh ones for sure!! And it's the same price too!

The best nipple shield for strong let down!
These just saved my breastfeeding journey! I have a very strong let down and oversupply, and it was causing my baby to gag and choke. It was getting to the point that my 7 week old would pull away and scream every time I tried to feed her. I was having to pump and feed bottles for the most part. We have tried other types of nipple shields but she was still having issues and I was irritated with them constantly falling off. These nipple shields are SO much better than the others we have tried. They actually stay on, and function much more like a real nipple. The texture is nice for her (rougher on the nipple part and bumps on the wings) and she can latch well. The slit style openings are preventing the spray to her throat, and the collapsibility means that she can control the flow much better. We have used these multiple times today and each time has been a success! I just purchased two more sets so that we don’t ever have to go without.

Pain free and easy to use
Really great shields. Provided me with a lot of relief especially because my child had a latching issue and was causing damage to my nipples. They’re thin and easy to wash. Stay in place. Really affordable too and worth it. I also liked the case because it allowed me to store them while not in use and ensured they’d be clean and ready.

Worth every penny
I never write reviews, but this is worth it! My daughter had a tongue tie when she was born, and it was making breastfeeding extremely difficult for both of us. She hated the Medela shield that I got from the hospital and wouldn't latch. She does great with a bottle, so she started to figure things out with a Haakaa shield (that's much more bottle-nipple shaped), but the vent wasn't great on that one and it would suction flat (which pinched me and frustrated her). But this one is amazing and doesn't pinch me, actually gets her to latch, and has made it possible to actually breastfeed now! Don't give up on nursing your baby until you've at least given this a shot. Only thing that is less than ideal is that the oval shape makes it so that you have to pay attention to the direction you put it on so that baby can latch right

Could be great for someone else!
Needed these because my baby wouldn’t latch. They came off a lot but I have issues with my nipples alone. So it might work better for someone that has more erect ones.

Best Nipple Shield
By far the best nipple shield!!!! I’ve tried three different shields before this one, some of them wouldn’t stay in place (medela close contact one was awful) and with others my nipple would get stuck and cause pinching which was super painful. This shield stays in place, baby latches very well, no pinching, and it’s close contact so feels like there isn’t even a shield being used. Highly recommend!

Comparison Review with Lansinoh, Medela and purifyou — MAM wins!
We’ve used four different brands of nipple shield in our breastfeeding journey. My son has a poor latch and spent the first 8 weeks of his life in the NICU, so we mostly bottlefeed but I wanted to have that bonding time of breastfeeding at least a couple times a day. In case there are others like me that are sitting through the options and trying to figure out what to use, I thought I’d leave this comparison review on all four listings. I hope it helps! So in order from best to worst nipple shields that we used: 1- MAM (5 stars) We use MAM bottles, and this is really an easy transition for the kiddo. It stays on remarkably well, which is very important when the baby likes to grab it! Only downside is the sizes available — 17mm and 23mm. I’m a solid size 20. We use the 17 and it works fine, just a bit snug for me and a bit more difficult to put on. But the most important thing to me is that my son latches easily and it stays put, so this is the clear winner for me! 2- Lansinoh (4 stars). The Lansinoh nipple shields are actually quite different from the other three we tried. They’re thicker for one, which does not feel great on the breast. I do love that they have a shallower nipple, so my nipple fills it almost entirely. My son latches very well to it, but because of the thicker base, it’s easier for him to pull off than the MAM shields (but does not fall off on its own like the Medela below). Still a great nipple shield that we continue to use! 3- Medela (3 stars) This was the first shield that we tried together, in the NICU at the recommendation of one of the nurses. It works fine for us. I do like the thinness of this nipple shield; it feels the most natural of the four shields that we used. There’s really only one reason it’s not our favorite: the nipple sticks really far out so my nipple only fills it less than halfway when we’re taking a breather. That means it’s very easy for my son to pull off, and sometimes it even just falls off. Having to reattach it is frustrating for both of us! 4- Purifyou (1 star) We bought this nipple shield at the same time as we got the MAM and Lansinoh ones so that we could try a few different brands. We couldn’t get it to stay put at all! Even though it’s supposedly the same size as the Medela and Lansinoh ones that we use successfully, it is way too big for my nipple and falls off constantly. My son had a harder time latching using this shield than he does without a shield.

caused incredible pain for my nipples
maybe I got the wrong size, but these absolutely pinched my nipples and caused me so much pain. I immediately had to throw them in the trash after attempting to use them several times. I have purchased several different types of nipple shields, and this one seems to be made out of some sort of plastic versus the silicone ones that I’ve used which are much softer on the nipple. They do tend to stay in place which I appreciated about them and was surprised based on the price point but man I cannot get over this pain it has caused.
