Is a fantastic DVD player and also portable!
So far it works like a charm! It did appear that it had previously been opened and I was worried it was a defective model that someone returned. My husband installed it and even hooked it up to our trailer surround sound. It’s perfect, fits exactly, we can take it down and keep it in the box until we arrive somewhere with our trailer, and the picture quality of the DVD is crystal clear. Our trailer’s DVD player had issues and rather than going through all the trailer wiring or replacing the whole entertainment console we’d figured it would actually be better to get a separate DVD player that we could store in the original box keeping it protected until we use it each time. Very happy!

Compact DVD player.
DVD player works gets but it starts on auto play so you will have to change the settings to turn off the auto play so you can do the set up for movie such as setting up subtitles or languages to chose from. Nice to be able to use remote to open the dvd player as opposed to reaching and hit the button on the dvd player. Very compact, for the space you get like a small apartment or TV takes up space and it can fit in small spaces. If you have it on auto it plays the movie right away without the previews and the subtitles would start out as English.

Works well CD player (audio only) and as a DVD player. Hope that long term reliability is good.
One star removed because I had to return the first one--it would skip (even when playing brand new CD's). The replacement unit is working fine thus far (This one is used as CD player only using just the red/white RCA audio jacks). The remote control is nice because you can skip directly to any track using the numbered keypad.I also bought a second unit (to replace an older Phillips HDMI DVD player that was beginning to fail). This second unit is connected via HDMI and so far is functioning perfectly playing DVD's.Overall, I'd say that this player is a good value for the money as of now. Longer term I hope the reliability proves to be good.

Great company to work with.
When I received this item from Amazon, I opened the box and the only item in there was the DVD player. It was missing the two cables, remote control, warranty card, and instructional booklet. You could tell that this was a retuned item. I contacted the support group from Electcom Pro. They answered me right back, asking for the Order number. I provided it and received the new one within a week. The emails from them were helpful and humorous. Would definitely buy from them again.

Customer service
Electcom Pro offers a very easy to use DVD player, less that 3 min to set up and I’m not a Techy. A couple weeks ago, the DVD player stopped reading the DVD. I was amazed when contacting the company, I received an immediate reply. Audrey, customer support, was amazing. She offered things to try first. When that didn’t work, she immediately sent a replacement DVD player, which has already arrived, and up and running! If more companies offered this kind of customer support, we’d have very happy customers and considerably less negative experiences!!!

ELECTCOM PRO ELC-1910: Amazing for the price
I have not searched for a CD/DVD player since dinosaurs ruled the earth. But with a new 43" TV and Onkyo receiver and speakers in my bedroom, I found myself in the market for a new one. When I started looking in Amazon, I was amazed to find that the only ones available were all these tiny little things, about half the size of a receiver. And most ranged in price from $30-$40, or about 25% of what I remember paying the last time I bought one. Initially I took a shot on the Sony DVPSR510, at $39.88. It worked but that's about it. No on screen display (my bad, I should have noticed from the Amazon page) and not even LEDs to indicate what functions it was performing. By the time I realized that this was a significant drawback, it was too late to return it (Bought Oct 30, 2024 - could not return one month and one day later). So I looked for another one, and picked the one that had the largest front panel display, the ELECTCOM PRO ELC-1910, despite the facts that it had a bunch of 1-3 star reviews that were critical of almost everything about the unit, was made in China and who every heard of ELECTCOM anyway? The ELECTCOM PRO arrived a two days ago and I used the HDMI port to plug it directly into the TV. The TV is connected via an optical fiber to my sound system. CDs played great, and since the one and only connection is digital, it's not surprising that it sounded great. Today I dug out some DVDs and tried them. They worked great too. One does have to adjust the unit to output 1080p. For some strange reason (perhaps its origin in China) the default is 720p, which makes the image look horrible. Many of the reviews complained that it was difficult to set up and use. I do not understand that at all. It is neither. The ones that really worried me were the ones that said it either skipped, or wouldn't load CDs or DVDs, but I haven't found that to be the case. DVD played perfectly from the get go, no skipping or loading problems and the sound was (duh) just like the CDs I played. Full disclosure: I had one "homemade" DVD that I got from my son's school about 10 years ago that the player didn't like very much.So this is a great deal for $39.88. But when I looked a moment ago to check on the model to write this review, I saw that the price has decreased $11.19 a few days after I bought it so it now costs $28.79. I am certain that at that price (or even at $39.88) it can't be beat.Highly recommended.JM Tepper

No HDMI-CEC support, therefore it's not senior-friendly
I'm returning this because I was disappointed that it did not have HDMI-CEC support, which would automatically switch the input on the TV to the right HDMI port. This DVD player does not do this. Consequently, the grandpa that I had bought it for will never be able to figure out how to use it.Another downside is that, even if we only use this as a CD player, which is what we got it for primarily, connecting it directly to dedicated stereo speakers is not ideal because it doesn't show the track number on the device. It also doesn't help that there are no next or previous buttons on the machine itself, but as a DVD player, I don't necessarily fault it for not having that. I'm just saying it could have made up for its other shortcomings listed above. It's also worth noting that the HDMI cable that comes with it is only like 2 feet long. I assume that it mentions that somewhere on this page, but no points docked for that. It was just a minor inconvenience.
