A lot to like but not as well made as I thought originally
I use this bag all the time for groceries and for books. The good features are the large bag size, the ample shoulder straps, and the closure for the pouch. The draw string and slider keep the bag firmly in the pouch. Downsides are it's a bit tough to stuff the bag in the pouch, and there are some small holes in the bag after admittedly a lot of use. No evidence that the holes are expanding or the cloth is ripping, however. The carabiner is small but a nice feature that keeps the bag from falling out of my jacket pocket. I would buy this again, however.Six months later, I find the bag is coming apart at the seams. See photo. There is still evidence of small holes here and there, but they have not expanded. It's the seam that is the problem. To be fair, I use this bag a LOT, and I often fill it (carefully) with hardback books. I've reduced my rating by two stars. I'm mostly looking elsewhere for a replacement, but those that require you to fold the bag to fit in the pouch are not attractive to me.

Get rid of that pile of bulky reusable bags!!
This is my favorite shopping bag EVER! (I ordered this as a replacement for one that was lost.) The bag holds 40 lbs (!), and weighs next to nothing. The clip makes it easy to attach to a purse, set of keys, etc. I have gotten SO many dubious looks from cashiers when I put a pile of groceries on the belt and say "I have a bag," because it's so tiny; then, when my groceries fit into it, they just can't believe their eyes. Also washable. *LOVE* this product! (I own multiple bags, and keep them on a ring; together, they take up less room than ONE of those bulky reusable bags that stores sell.)NOTE: there is also a smaller version of this bag, which holds less weight; this is the full-sized one, which can be carried over the shoulder, or at your side, and holds 40 lbs.

Best bags I’ve ever bought to haul groceries.
I really love these. They are the perfect size for groceries. I just stick them into my purse and don’t have to worry about leaving them in my trunk after I’ve gone into the grocery store. They are so small when stuffed into the convenient pouch to store them. But when you pull them out to put groceries in they are large and super strong. When I saw how the tote got dirty on the bottom upon normal use (3-4 times weekly) I was glad I could wash them, just throw them in the washer and they come out sparkling clean. I use to use plastic totes that I purchased and they couldn’t go in the washer so I love these. I guess I already said that but it’s true. They are super cute too, I love the blue color. I have recommended them to several people and now they are loving them as much as I am.

Ordered one - Liked enough to get another
I ordered one of these to see what it was like and was impressed enough to order another. The great thing about these is that they are compact enough to leave in the car so they are there when you need them, unlike the typically bulky canvas bag often sold in stores. To give you an idea, the bundle is about the size of standard computer mouse. It has a small carabiner also attached if you want to hang it. Unlike the photo typically shown for this bag, when you pull the bag from inside the small pouch the small pouch stays attached to the inside of the bag so you don't have to worry about losing it or tearing it off. The photos don't show that feature. It is also very easy to get back into the pouch. You don't have to fold it, just jam in back in the pouch and it fits fine. The bag is about 30% larger (or more) than the standard plastic bag one gets at the grocery store, but because of its strength it holds so much more.Though I haven't used it enough to judge its quality, at this point I would recommend it.The reseller was Whitebox. They were very prompt and even contacted me after the purchase to see if I was satisfied. I like that.

Understand, this particular one was for my husband!! I own 2 others
I live in Oregon, many towns are going to a no plastic, charge for paper, type law. My husband saw how much I LOVE my bag and how easy it is to use and clean and he ASKED for me to get him ONE!! That says an awful lot about how great these are.Mine hangs off the ring that attaches the strap to my purse and I regularly get asked about it. People especially seem to like when I tell them how easily it washes, and that it doesn't require careful folding to get it back in the carry bag. Even more telling is when I say that there is no need to put the meat in a disposable bag, since these wash so easily. If you're not sure, get one, you'll be back for more, trust me.

Large and sturdy
This is my second ChicoBag; my first was given to me for free as part of a promotion by a local store. Both felt very sturdy to me and unlikely to break, even with heavy items inside; the biggest difference is that this bag is a bit larger than that one. This bag fit a large box of cereal, several smaller boxes, a few cans, and one bunch of bananas plus a gallon milk-type jug without any problem. All my other reusable bags can hold *almost* all of that, but I don't think I'd be able to put the gallon jug in any of them with all the rest (especially not with my canvas bags). I was pleasantly surprised. The straps on this bag are supposed to allow you to go over your shoulder if you want, but I usually just carry it like a normal bag, and that works fine.As with all ChicoBags, when the bag is not in use, you can stuff it into a small pouch (somewhat resembling a mini version of the bag itself) that is attached to the bag, as you can see in the picture. This makes it much smaller and more convenient to carry. While some items may be better carried in canvas bags with flatter, sturdier bottoms, I will definitely consider this type of bag (and perhaps a smaller one as well for little purchases) if I need more in the future. (EDIT: I recently lost the first bag I bought and just bought another one to replace it. Even after several years of use, I didn't have any problems with it--aside from the fact that's so small and light I lost it!)

Great bag
A tad overpriced but a great bag. Not super heavy duty, but definitely durable enough to be used regularly.

Totalmente recomendable

I am very pleased with this Red ChicoBag
I am very pleased with this Red ChicoBag (yes, it's a true Red - not "muddy" - a "Blue Red" as in Lipstick, but not bright or loud). The straps on this bag are approx. 10.5" and can be carried on the shoulder (this is not a cross-body bag). Also, these are not the easiest type of bags to remove from their pouch (albeit I have arthritis and others may find it easier).Once the Bag is removed, just run your hands along the handles and seams and give the bag a good shake to help get rid of the wrinkles. The wrinkles will subside once it is used.I like that the pouch is attached - no, it's not a separate pouch - it will be attached to the inside of the bag..When you remove the Bag from the Pouch, in order for the pouch to lay flat inside the bag you need to turn the pouch inside out - that's not a bad thing as the Carabineer is then inside the pouch (although the Carabineer can easily be removed and used elsewhere if you do not plan to use it), and the pouch can be used to hold something(s) small, and closed tight, and it stays in the Bag.As I said I very much like this bag: I love the colour, and that the straps are shoulder and not cross-body, and that the pouch is attached and stays inside the bag, and the pouch is useful inside the bag.I also Love how Large it is!I am actually using this bag as a "project bag" for my knitting; it is large enough to hold all of the yarn (and notions) for a large sweater and/or a good sized blanket and/or a large shawl (all of which I usually have going on different needles - so I have this bag in different colours for that purpose). Everything is in one place (one Bag for each large project), and it's easy to pick up and start knitting, or grab and take with me.These ChicoBags are not just for shopping! They also make great over-night bags (the trick is to neatly roll your things and put them neatly into the bag - and then on you go!). These are large bags, but they are very lightweight!

I am very pleased with this "Mazarine Blue" ChicoBag
I am very pleased with this "Mazarine Blue" ChicoBag.The colour of this bag is more Navy than Royal - it's not Dark but it's also not a bright/loud colour - it's a Beautiful Blue and I Love this colour!
