Amazon Basics Tactical Folding Pocket Knife, Stainless Steel with Premium Wooden Handle for Hunting, Camping, Survival, Outdoor and Everyday Carry

I really wasn't expecting much when I ordered this knife for about $8.35. An Amazon Basics branded "tactical" knife (LOL), and I bought it for that reason alone. It seemed almost like a joke, considering all of the other Amazon Basics branded items available that aren't tactical knives (such as USB drives, towels, staplers, bedding, yoga mats, dinnerware sets, etc).For the price, I was expecting some laughable excuse for a knife, however I was quite wrong. The knife is heavy duty and locks up nicely. The quality is as good as a brand name $20-$25 folding liner-lock knife from a sporting goods store. I have no idea what kind of steel the blade is made from, but I judge it to be as good as similar S&W branded knives that I own. The fit of the metal parts to the wood handle panels are well fitted. Overall the blade feels heavy duty and locks up with a satisfying smooth click that you would expect from a knife that costs a lot more.Overall this is a great basic knife to throw in a toolbox, an inexpensive EDC that you aren't afraid to lose, or to just keep in a collection as a uniquely branded knife.

Love this thing. Just the right size. The serrated section is perfect to break down boxes that need binned. The main knife blade is just right for many uses. Would have preferred a drop point blade vice a tanto. But it works very well for EDC. Smooth action and good lock up. Great value and well made.

Decent knife for the price. Blade is a bit warped but it's super sharp, feels good in hand, and is visually appealing.

This knife has a solid weight and looks great. For what you pay this is an excellent knife to add to your collection. Worth buying a few at the price.

Great gift to get for someone

The carrying case the knife came in was garbage, def just gets shipped with some random pouch amazon found dirt cheap. You could easily fit 3 of these knives in the carrying case and its way to tall for the knife aswell, if you run around with case on your belt theres so much extra space the knife can just fall out. My only other complaint is that unlike pretty much any folding knife ive ever owned theres no tang on the back of the blade as seen in my photo of my old gerber to assist in opening the knife one handed, it can be done one handed but is very stiff and hard to open with one hand, I usualy end up taking it out of my pocket and using both hands to open it up. Having said all that as far as it being a knife and cutting things it does that pretty well and has retained its edge pretty well after some use and abuse. The crappy case and the need to pretty much 2 hand open it made me give it the 3 star review.

While the carry case is laughable, the knife itself is quite heavy duty and waaaay better than expected. The blade is sharper than sharp, razer sharp. The blade locks solid so there is no mishaps fortunately.....For the money a very good value, I may buy another.

A pocket knife has always been an essential since I was a kid growing up in the country. This is my second purchase of this knife, having lost the first one on a job. The quality is great. It opens and closes easily (for me. A little difficult for my wife’s small hands), holds an edge, and a good size for a man. I’m disappointed that the price has increased so much since I bought the first one, but it’s still a good buy.

Ist Schwer und Robust so wie ein Messer es sein soll . Und auch noch Günstig, Da hat Amazon sich wirklich Mühe gegeben ich liebe das Messer und das Schöne Holz einfach zum Dahin schmelzen . Plus eine Hülle (bei der Hülle hatte ich keine Probleme damit ,dass sie Einbischen Größer ist als dass Messer selbst ist , weil wenn sie zu eng wäre könnte man das Messer schwer rausholen . Aber ansonsten nervt mich der Klettverschluss ein wenig weil der nicht immer gleich haften will aber ansonsten mein Fazit : wer dieses Messer besitzt der wird auch bei den Yakuza Seinen Platz finden können!

Ich versuche meine Rezension in „Positiv“ und „Negativ“ zu unterteilen und hoffe so für alle übersichtlich und auch nützlich zu sein.Was gefällt mir an dem Taschenmesser?+ Das Design mit dem Holzgriff+ Schön scharf+ Kleine Fläche zum Sägen+ Hosenhalterung+ Praktisch für unterwegs+ Gute, handliche Größe+ Liegt auch gut in der Hand+ Tasche mit Schlaufe zur Befestigung am GürtelWas gefällt mir weniger an dem Taschenmesser?- Gut, ich bin technisch nicht so versiert, doch wir haben alle in der Familie (auch Männer) mehrere Minuten benötigt, um zu verstehen, wie man das Messer wieder zusammenklappt. Dazu muss man im Klingenfach seitlich gegen dieses geriffelte Blech drücken. Eine wie auch immer geartete, kurze Beschreibung wäre hier natürlich schon toll. Die gibt es allerdings nicht.- Der Bereich der Säge ist eher ein optisches Gimmick, denn eine Säge. Dieser Bereich ist 2,5 cm breit, da würde man sich einen Wolf sägen, wollte man das Taschenmesser als Säge benutzen.Fazit: Das Taschenmesser sieht gut aus und ist sehr praktisch. Es ist scharf und gerade für unterwegs, um beim Picknick Käse oder ähnliches zu schneiden ideal. Auch zum Schnitzen lässt es sich gut verwenden. Durch die Klemmhalterung für den Hosenbund lässt es sich auch sehr angenehm und einfach mitnehmen. Durch die mitgelieferte Tasche lässt es sich über eine Schlaufe allerdings auch so am Gürtel einfach mitnehmen. Die Sägefläche ist allerdings eher ein optisches Gimmick und eine Kurzanleitung – sehr kurz – wäre toll, damit man sich beim Ausprobieren und Zuklappen nicht verletzt.

Amazon Basic のナイフいいです。質感いいてすね。価格以上だと思います。ナイフとしては、購入した状態では満足できないですね。コスト的に工程は限られからだけど、刃の仕上げがイマイチタントーの先端はまだいいけけど、それ以外は波刃の仕上げと干渉して中途半端な感じですね。砥ぎ直しするにも波刃が邪魔ですね。折りたたみも硬いので親指で起こすのも辛いです。油を差してまぁなんとかて感じです。

Als ich das Angebot konnte ich es erst nicht glauben, Amazon stellt auch Taschenmesser her, deshalb wollte ich es unbedingt ausprobieren.Als ich das Messer in der Tasche aus der Verpackung nahm, viel mir jedoch gleich auf, dass die Tasche zu groß war und knapp 1cm Luft war. So rutschte es sehr leicht hin und her und für das Tragen am Gürtel eher ungeeignet.Aber das wichtigste ist natürlich die Qualität des Messers. Es ist ca. 20cm lang und die Klinge knapp 8,5cm. Die Klinge ist gut geschliffen und behielt die Schärfe bisher gut bei. Die Sägeklingen am unteren Teil, sind in Ordnung, wie bei jedem Taschenmesser, aber auch nur in der Not zu gebrauchen, da nicht wirklich handlich. Ausklappen kann man es sehr leicht und das Scharnier geht sehr leicht. Natürlich hilft hier ein kleiner Griff für den Daumen um es aufzuklappen. Die Arretierung funktioniert ohne Probleme und lässt sich auch gut, aber nicht zu leicht lösen. Das eingearbeitete Holz im Griff macht das ganze Messer sehr edel und der Edelstahl wirkt ebenfalls sehr hochwertig verarbeitet. Beim Schnitzen macht es auf jeden Fall eine gute Figur und auch Kabel abisolieren funktioniert sehr gut durch präzises Handling. Auch Schrauben kann man zur Not mit dem Messer öffnen, hier hat die Klinge gut gehalten.Leider sind, auf Nachfrage anscheinend seit 2008, Einhand-Klappmesser in Deutschland nicht mehr erlaubt in der Öffentlichkeit mitzuführen. Da ich kein Anwalt bin und nicht 100% sicher, ist die Aussage natürlich nur zur Info um möglichen Strafen zu entgehen. Ansonsten finde ich das Taschenmesser sehr gut gelungen und äußerst praktisch.
