This was originally bought as a gift but ended up not being needed and I thought I would have a go at it myself.I am an experienced Crafter, but boy was this frustrating!Firstly I find it very overpriced for a box containing a needle, one foam block, 2 polystyrene balls, some silver pipe cleaner and a very small amount of wool Fluff!I believe I wasted two days out of my life, recovering from Christmas, repeatedly stabbing fluff with a needle, pricking myself so many times, losing not an insignificant amount of blood, and trying to form something even remotely resembling a flamingo – what was I thinking?!!!Basically it requires you to try and sculpt said flamingo out of fluff by stabbing it into a polystyrene ball. Easier said than done. MUCH! And I have worked with clay for many years. I have embarrassingly posted a picture of my attempt here, I didn’t even bother with the legs, I had lost the will to live…Please note this is absolutely not suitable for a child or anyone with problems with blood-clotting, it could be fatal.

I wanted to try out needle felting so I bought this kit. The instructions weren't really helpful in my opinion but there are loads of videos on YouTube. Once I watched a video I understood what I needed to do much better. I think this is a great kit for beginners to start off with. I made 2 flamingoes but there is wool left over to possibly make more. They were very cute and perfect for little hanging ornaments or for keyring. Definitely would recommend this item for an introduction kit to needle felting.

I bought this as a gift for one of my friends because I'd received the Jack Russell kit and found it really fun. She really enjoyed making the flamingoes but I do think the instructions weren't all too clear and seemed to skip some steps leading to a bit of guesswork at some points. Overall not too bad, packaging was nice and the kit provides everything you need.

Very disappointing. A few bits and pieces and an excuse for instructions. Cannot recommend at all.
