Design Engineering 010119 2" x 25' Pipe Wrap Kit with 4 Locking Ties - Black

Installed dry and worked well. I was able to stretch it tight on the pipe using plastic zip ties to hold it in place temporary until I was able to install the stainless ones provided. I cut off the plastic ties before starting up the machine. It insulates very well. Surface gets hot but not super hot.I will say it will not go as far as the chart for installation says, I would figure it at about 75% coverage.

I used this on the new GrimmSpeed V2 jpipe / downpipe for my 2017 WRX. It is a bit trickier to use then it appears as the material has a bad tendency of unraveling while you try to use it and mine later seemed a bit "frayed" with little bits of the material sticking up. Not a big deal as it will be well out of sight and seems to be doing it's job well enough to keep temperatures down in my engine bay.Do not use metal zip ties. I found that they were virtually useless even with the specialized DEI ratchet tool or needle nose pliers. Do yourself a favor and buy the metal wormgear clamps from the local hardware store. Much easier to install and provides a tight secure fit for the wrap.The titanium wrap does not necessarily need to have their high temperature silicone spray to keep it water resistant but I opted to use it anyway to be on the safe side. I did several light to medium coats and used about 3/4 of the DEI spray can. Hopefully it will last.

Holds the heat in the pipes around my legs on my dual exhaust on my bike. No more heating up my inner leg.

really happy with the tape. Smelled for a week while curing and after that no issues whatsoever. % years on the car now.

I used water to make it more pliable and help me stretch it out over the pipe. It will get your hands black as MLK, but you should wear gloves to prevent that. It also will emit some "stank" until it gets completely burned in, so expect fumes and smoke for the first several rides.

Wrap is a good material as always. Have to presoak before application. The only bad parts are the locking ties. They give you 4 but all so small it doesn’t fit around the pipe. Had to use my own clamps
