Best Every Day Carry Pilot G2 Metal Click Pen
I've now owned several of these pens, and they are easily my favorite pens of all time.At $30 as of the time of writing this, this is the best option on the market if you like Pilot G2 refills. There are plenty of good metal pens; however, limiting that to those that work well with the Pilot G2 creates a very small or expensive list. The pen itself has a great feel. When they are brand new, the mechanism may have a grindy feel. However, that goes away fairly quickly with use. You can also add some mineral oil to the mechanism to get rid of that. I've noticed the pens are now shipped with mineral oil in the mechanism which is great to see. The click itself has a satisfying tactile feel. The clicker isn't floppy after extending the ink, which is a small but nice feature thanks to the additional top clicker spring. If you care about the balance, or are into pen spinning, this pen is wonderfully symmetrical and has just the right thickness. The pen is a bit short for dedicated spinning pens; however, I find the length and diameter perfect to fit in a pocket and for writing use.The tactile feel of the grip area is nice. I've had overly textured pens in the past, knurled, or custom machined grips -- they are interesting novelties, but I find too much texture becomes an aggravation and annoyance after a while. A straight shaft with basic grooves is best. The bead blasted surface feels nice. The clip is strong, and rarely deforms. In the rare situations where I've damaged the clip, it's easily disassembled with a T5 screwdriver, bent, then reassembled. I've never lost one of these two screws after reassembly. The clip opening works well for sliding this over fabric and into a shirt or pocket. Not too stiff, not too weak.As the outer surface of the pen gets wear and tear, a brass patina will start to come out at the edges. I personally think this looks good. If you have access to a laser etcher, you can get a striking contrast in color that looks really good. The only issue I've had with the pen is the clicker cap has become unscrewed and lost on a few of the pens I've owned. Thankfully I found it in at least one case.Lastly, I've had a great experience with their customer service. It's always great to work with a company that is responsive and takes care of their customers. As some background, I've carried a Pilot G2 ink for 30 years. My personal favorite is the 0.5mm black ink. This all started while working retail in my teens -- your pen is one of your most prized and mandatory possessions in those environments. After that, a long career as an engineer means you need a pen to annotate CAD drawings or to jot down ideas. Because the Pilot G2 is plastic, I have a graveyard of pen husks with broken clips. For the last decade, I've invested stupid amounts of money into metal pens that take Pilot G2 refills. Many of these were bespoke, limited runs, or luxury pens. Unfortunately, unless that pen sits in one spot on your desk forever (and you don't have kids), you're going to lose every pen you buy. This is especially true if you're carrying it around every day. I no longer see the value in buying a pen for more than $30 if I'll lose it every 6 months.

New Favorite Pen
This is a review of the Everyman Gunmetal Grafton pen. I purchased based on other reviews.I'd purchased one of these pens and it had a small defect with the clicker. Vendor support was great and they shipped a replacement promptly.TLDR: This is my new favorite pen. The pen itself looks elegant and though this entirely subjective, I do feel that I write better with a better pen. I don't mean only that my penmanship is better, but that my mindset is different.Out of the box, it comes with the pen (including refill) and an extra spring. Construction appears to be good quality. The coatings seem durable. Clicker is reassuringly clicky, though there's a slight scratchiness to the sound. The clip is robust. The pen is a perfect weight for my writing style and quite comfortable. The barrel diameter is also just right for my hand. The refill lays down a good, solid line without any gaps. On notebook paper there was no visible bleed and ink dries pretty quickly. The .7mm is on the high end of my preferred range but I understand that this pen takes Pilot G2 refills. Once the included refill runs out, I will likely go with the G2 refills for the .4mm or .5mm tip.

Great pen terrible ink
Nice pen but ink skips. I bought blue and black. Both skipped on different paper. Buy Pilot G2 refills. Use small spring(included in box with pen), discard small spacer in pen. That combo works, great pen with great refills.

I really like this pen
I prefer a pen with some heft to it and a decent moderately bold ink. I have a couple of Zebra pens that have served me fairly well (Sarasa and G750), but they feel a bit thin in my hand and the line is a tad thinner than I'd like. I've been a fan of Pilot G2 bold blue ink, but the best Pilot pen available has a chunky grip that doesn't fit into my uniform's sleeve pocket without a fight. I got a Smootherpro pen, but it's just so so and the quality just doesn't seem to be there. I bought the Everyman Grafton pen along with some G2 refills, and was initially disappointed that the ink didn't fit the pen as the description stated it would. I found that there's a plug in the barrel and a separate smaller spring included in the box. When the plug is removed and the smaller spring is placed in the barrel, the G2 refill fits perfectly. The pen feels hefty enough without being clunky and it fits my pen pocket perfectly. As one reviewer stated, the clicker sounds a little loud at first, but it gets quieter with use. I bought the gunmetal color, which has a nice finish with just enough knurling to make the grip comfortable. I liked it well enough to order another color, crimson, that I'll mostly use at home. I have a bad habit of leaving pens around the house and not being able to find them. Hopefully the color will help it to stand out and make it easy to find.

Let me start by saying...
I purchased this pen for using while working, something sturdy and capable of writing on anything. The barrel is perfect size ot feels like I could run it over with a tank, and it's nice and slim so it doesn't catch on my pouches. My problem I had with it is the clicking mechanism, I think it might be a product defect as it never engages properly...A quick email to the company and the team was more than happy to satisfy my concerns and mailed out a new pen- the only problem is someone stole my package. Great looking product, feels tough, and will probably end up trying to repurchase a working one.

Smooth and durable pen
The pen is beautiful to look at, writes well. It is a bit heavy to hold and so takes a bit of time to get used to. But no complaints whatsoever.

Questionable quality
This pen feels, writes and looks really nice. That's about all I can say. Longterm quality is questionable. The first time I dropped it, within the first day of using it, it broke. I was actually quite shocked. The plastic clicker piece snapped between the button and pen body. Everyman agreed to replace it, but only once and made that very clear. Leaving me to question the quality of thier pens overall.
