Wild Friends Foods Almond Butter, Classic Creamy, 16 oz Jar

This product would be 5 star worthy but it is lacking flavor. I know it's a healthier and sustainable (no palm oil) alternative to Nutella which is great. Just wish it was sweeter!! It's a bit too bland and the oil from the almonds overwhelm the overall taste. It's not cheap either so I will continue my search for a tastier Nutella replacement.

I'm trying to reduce my sugar but still enjoy the things I love. I love nuts and nut butter, and unfortunately a lot of peanut butter products out there have a lot of sugar. I actually got into Wild Friends when I tried the chocolate coconut peanut butter, which is excellent. When I researched them online, I found they do a ton of other nut butters! I saw the vanilla espresso almond butter and knew I had to try it.I can't say it tastes strongly of either vanilla or espresso, but there's a good roasted almond flavor and only 2 grams of sugar per serving. The butter isn't overly sweet and compliments the taste of the wheat bread I smear it on every morning. Since the nut butter is natural, the oils tend to separate. Give it a stir and it'll be ok.

I wanted to like this so bad because the description sounded great, but the oils had separated so much that it was basically a lump of hard almond butter in a soup. Even after stirring it and mixing it (which took a long time), it was still runny and it tasted awful.

I rarely, if ever, give an unfavorable review but I had to with this product. Today is April 13 and I just received this. When I opened the jar I was surprised to see a great deal of liquid (settlement) on top (this can be normal). When I stirred it, it was worse than peanut butter with much of it coagulated into firm mounds pressed against the jar. The consistency is gooier than peanut butter and I barely tasted the espresso; peanut butter tastes better. It took about 10 minutes of stirring it to get it palatable and then I didn't like it. Broke a wooden spoon trying to emulsify it. If you like the taste of bland almond with tiny coffee grinds, this is for you. If not, don't spend the money; it's not worth it. This particular jar has an expiration date of October, 2017. I mentioned that I had just received it today--well, the Amazon return date closed today, April 13!

OK, first of all the flavor is great, but not as much coffee (espresso) taste as I had hoped. No promises were made by the manufacturer as to strength of taste, so no harm, no foul. I just thought it would have more of a coffee taste than it has. Despite that, it's a delicious concoction. Don't NOT buy it based on this alone. After all, my taste buds may be less receptive than yours.The only downside (and this is why not 5 stars) was that the solids had totally separated from the oil, but unlike peanut butter, these solids were...well, solid. I only ever buy non-homogenized peanut butter (i.e. 'natural') so I have quite an extensive history on mixing separated peanut butter, but wow! this stuff is in a whole other class. If you buy this and yours is like mine was, be prepared to mix and mix and mix and mix...well, you get the idea. Just put in refrigerator afterward and it stays mixed, it's the up front effort that was required that surprised me. Again, this doesn't detract from the enjoyment of the almond butter, so don't hesitate to purchase based on this.

Meh. I was hoping for something that would blow me away (especially for that price), but I was underwhelmed. There's no hint of vanilla, no hint of espresso, just a couple dark flecks of powder here and there to show that there was supposed to be an espresso flavor in there somewhere. This tasted like plain old almond butter. It's not bad, just not what I was hoping for according to the description. Live and learn!

Amazing product. The only problem with this flavor is that it tastes like candy and it's hard to eat just a little! Highly recommend.

I am familiar with natural nut butters that separate, but the jar I received was too far gone. I placed my order early June and received a jar that was “best buy July 2018.” Im guessing it sat on a shelf too long and won’t mix properly now that it’s close to its “best buy” date. Very disappointed. It’s inedible, unless you like hard chunky chocolate almond butter soup. Wishing I could get a new jar for how much I paid, but due to the return policy (cause it’s food, understandable) I can’t request a new one.

届いた状態ですでに中身が分離していて、上の方に油分が浮いて、下の方にペースト成分が溜まっていました。うーん、と思いながら、賞味期限内だったので上下混ぜて味見したところ、味はとっても美味しいです。分離してなかったらもっと美味しいのかも、とかモヤモヤしながらトーストに塗って消費しています。量も値段もいいと思うのでリピートしたいけど、次も分離してたらやだな〜。。中身をちゃんとチェックしてほしいですね。ネットで買うのはやめたいですが、近所に売っていないのでどうしたものか困っています。

アーモンドバターは砂糖入りのものが主流なので、これを選んでます。塩は入っていますが、それがきいて美味しいです。けっこうハマりますが、いっきに食べ過ぎるとちょっとウップとなります。バナナとかにつけると美味しいです。アマゾンにあるラインナップの中でもコスパいいと思います。
