This book is getting me ripped
I've been following the instructions in this book for one month and I can report that I am getting crazy strong. How I will be performing on American Ninja is to be seen, but I definitely think that I am on the right track. Great book with very descriptive workout routines geared towards competing on the show. My one recommendation with this book is to buy it in hard print so you can quickly jump back and forth between chapters.

Some good info
This book is somewhat poorly written. However there is some good information and ideas in this book. Not well set up up for a beginner trying to train for ANW.

Good book
Good book with very interesting facts and tips. My son is 15 and loves the show, and really enjoys reading it over and over. I watch the show with him sometimes and read the book as well.

Barely any useful information at all
Barely any useful information at all. For instance there is a "Chapter" (ie..one page) on how to train for the salmon ladder. All he does is tell you how tough it is, give you extremely basic, abbreviated instructions to build one, and then states..."Start training". No technique or progression advice, no supplemental exercises that will help...nothing. His chapter on how to beat the salmon ladder can be summed up as: "practice the salmon ladder". Worthless. Also, about 1/3rd of the book is devoted to recipes for "ninja nutrition" which is basic stuff you can find anywhere. Nothing Ninja Warrior specific.Even an cheap as it is...it's still not worth the money.

Interesting exercise routines, but not for beginners
I saw American Ninja Warrior show first time last year on TV and I was fascinated with strength and endurance displayed by contestants. I was wondering how can they even train to be that strong and flexible, and I got part of the answer in this book. The book has good training programs and nutrition information for the complete training regime. However, the program is meant for someone who already is in a decent shape. There is no way that some couch potato could do some of the exercises described here. I think the author should develop his program more so that more people can start it and not fail immediately.Besides that, it is a pretty good exercise book.

Cool book, it has workouts that I never would have thought of. I'm in training for next yrs season 8 and have found this book very useful from filling out the app to the suggested workouts.

Has lots of things like 8 frenchies
This is no book lucky to be considered a pamphlet. And just who is this Brian Davidson. And what makes him an expect. Search every where to try to find out something about him but nothing anywhere. Book contains loads of dribble. Has lots of things like 8 frenchies , doesn't tell you what a frenchie is. and to do twenty regular pull ups. Bahahaha I cant do 3, Doesnt tell me how to get from 3 to twenty. Save your money. These other reviews giving this collection of rambling words 5 stars must be friends of this elusive Brian Davidson

Shockingly bad book-total waste of money
I really don't want to give this book any stars-it is a shockingly bad book...I read a lot and have never thought a book was so bad that I had to warn people. The information is useless; seems to be written by someone with no expertise at all and the author clearly does not know how to write. It seems there was also no desire to hire an editor. The book is full of extreme gramatical errors....it's really really bad and I should try to get a refund but not sure it is worth the time and effort.
