Nutty Garden & Grain Parrot Food (2 lbs.)

This is by far the best parrot food on the market. The ones you find in pet stores contain so much junk that 75% of it ends up in the bottom of the cage or on my floor. My African grey eats everything in this food except for the chili peppers and peanuts. Price wise it's about the same as pet store prices without all the waste. I've ordered from sleek and sassy for years but the turnaround time with Amazon is a lot faster.

I ordered a bag for my black-headed caique, because finding quality parrot food in the U.S. is incredibly frustrating. If something looks potentially good, I give it a try.My caique seems to really like this. It's a nice balance of seeds and dried fruits, that we mix in with his favorite pepper pellets. Most of the time, a lot of his seed ends up tossed on the floor of his cage, but he seems to be going for every last bite of this, even with the fresh fruits and veggies we give him every day.

Everything is mashed, I think it is my fault. I have African Grey & Umbrella Cockatoo my birds need something little more chunkier than mash potatoes like food.

My conure picks out the sunflower seeds. I am hopeful he will take an interest in the wide variety of other seeds and dried fruit.
