Good Information
I am a long time subscriber to Real Age and they often quote the doctor so I ordered the book. You can teach an old dog new tricks as I found several tips that I can use every day. And she explained in detail how everything was to be used. She also gives lots of good basic information.

This book explained the connection between stress and beauty in a very simplistic way for us busy women. The steps she wrote are very easy to follow.

Feeling old?
You can learn about beauty at any age. I just turned 50 and was feeling old. This book is helpful to get you feeling better about yourself. Even if you only take away the tips on what products are best and getting in a beauty routine, it is worth it.

A lot of common sense stuff but nothing revolutionary
This book is really just about eating right, getting enough sleep and not being stressed. Also sort of meandered all over without a cohesive story. Stretched the material way too much for a whole book. Waste of time.

I got this book as a gift but I skimmed it first. It seems really good and the author is super - educated, interested, aware.

DO NOT BUY
This was a total joke. I can't even believe this was written by an MD. There is absolutely no medical basis for anything said in this book. One her big tips is use the same cream you use on your face under your eyes. Another one is that you need to get enough sleep. And, stress affects your looks. GROUNDBREAKING. She constantly endorses Neutrogena, its like an ad. This could have been condensed to a half page article in a magazine, written by a 12 year old.

Sound Advice
Although this is science-based, the book is really easy to read and understand and written in a relaxed and friendly way. It is very informative, but the suggestions made are so straightforward that you can started right away, with no need to spend lots of money either. A simple 9 day plan with a few basic products are all you really need to see genuine inprovements in your skin and general wellbeing. Worth re-reading regularly to remind yourself not to be taken in by the latest miracle cream!

A recommended read for anyone interested in skincare
I feel the title doesn't do justice to this book: it sounds cheap and exclusively oriented on the mind/beauty connection, but the book is actually full of good skincare information as well, on top of giving perfectly sound advice on leading a less stressful life. It has loads of information on what your basic skincare should look like, along with product recommendations, and has more detailed sections if you want to have a more advanced skincare routine. Loved it!
