KOHLER K-10563-BN Devonshire Glass Shelf, Vibrant Brushed Nickel

I originally purchased one of these in 2015 for my newly created master bath. Put flameless candles and a nautical item on it. It is extremely sturdy, thick glass. I chose the brushed nickel to match all the other Kohler Devonshire fixtures and it really looks good. the original one was installed by the remodeling company. Just recently I acquired some seashell flameless candles and thought another shelf would look good, so ordered a second one. The brushed nickel one was more expensive than the others, but bought it anyway. My "better half" put it up yesterday and it was relatively easy, with me helping. It comes with a template to measure for the holes and then all that was needed was a drill bit to get the screws into the wall into those little plastic thingys that hold it firmly. My better half always cringes when I say "assembly required" but he stopped grumbling and did it. Easy peasy! He said "if they don't find you handsome, at least they can find you handy". The shelf is beautiful and worth the money compared to others I looked at. I think it has been discontinued, so it you want it, I wouldn't hesitate to order before they're gone.

Thick glass shelf that securely attaches to the two mounting brackets. The mounting pieces have a threaded end that fits trough the drilled holes in the glass shelf and decorative cap pieces screw onto them. There isn't any leeway with this so be sure to measure precisely 15" on center for the two mounting brackets. The mounting plates can be secured to drywall with the anchors provided (it comes with two different styles of drywall anchors) or at least one can be attached to a wall stud if it happens to hit in the right place for you. The mounting bracket covers are held in place with a small set screw and tiny allen wrench which is provided. Brushed nickel finish electroplated over some type of base metal. Made in China but sturdy and well manufactured.

The shelf comes with a template that makes it very easy to hang. It is very sturdy and looks lovely in the master bath.

Definately has an expensive look to it. The glass is substantial and the brackets add to the upscale look. It has enough presence to improve the look of our bathroom and does not scream thin glass and IKEA at you. Amazon knew I was interested in purchasing more for additional bathrooms and the price amazingly shot up. All is well since I bought 2 more from Lowes and saved good money.

I decided to use all, or mostly all, Kohler fixtures in my bathroom. I thought the glass shelf would add a nice manly touch to my bathroom where I could put frequently used items like aftershave and deodorant. This is a sharp looking piece, my only criticism is that holds the glass makes 2 metal pieces protrude from the glass causing it to not have a completely flat surface. A minor criticism to an otherwise flawless Kohler fixture.

This was not hard to install. Needed a tile drill. Found plaster behind tile so then used mortar drill. Looks very could compared to the old one.

Perfect in my bathroom—-great quality and easy to install. Highly recommend!

We do like the look of the shelf and the quality is good, however one of the brackets on one shelf had a misalligned screw between the bracket and the glass shelf. We could not tighten down the glass shelf due to this and there is a gap(see pic) and the glass wobbles.Both shelves were shipped in separate boxes and the Amazon box was fine, but the Kohler box for one shelf had a hole in the side. It was still sealed with a sticker. Before I opened the box I took a picture of the seal and the hole. Everything inside looked in order. We installed one shelf without any issue so we knew exactly how to install the second one. Once we had the issue with the second shelf, I took a better look at the box and I could see that the item had been resealed prior to it being sold to us. There was a second sticker on top of the first one on the box and it had been resealed! Another clue was there was no template to use in the box so somene had to have put the nail whole through the template like we did to mark the position on the wall and it was not replaced when it was resold to us. I am dissappointed with Amazon allowing a defective item to be resold. We now have 4 holes in the wall with the anchors and need to either get a replacement bracket or an entire shelf. Honestly, I would have given this item 5 star since it was easy to install, very nice thick glass, and the template was perfectly alligned the hardware. Oh, and the edge is green which someone mentioned in a prior review, as you can see from the attached pics, but I'm okay with that.
