WHERE has this thing been all my life? Or at least all my child's life... I just bought a new car, and when we removed the old carseat from the old car to trade it in, it had a melted yellow crayon all but absorbed into the upholstery underneath. Oops. So I decided that with the new fancy leather, I would not have that happen again. I bought the Britax Pioneer G1.1 Harness 2 booster car seat and this seat protector. It works perfectly. I am certain that this will not let any melted crayon leak into my new seats. In fact, I'm pretty certain my kid could spill an entire juicebox and the contents would be safely contained in the nice deep ridges of the mat. It's easy to install, and more importantly easy to install the carseat over the top of it without feeling like you are sacrificing your kid's safety over some leather. BIG bonus is the little "kick-flap" that hangs over the front edge of the seat and keeps tiny muddy feet from doing what tiny muddy feet do. Which is make big messes. Love this mat. So glad I bought it with our new carseat. Definitely worth it!

I bought two of these a few weeks ago for my new vehicle after seeing the mess and damage my kids left on the seats of the old car. Today the mat under my 4yo son's Britax Boulevard carseat got a trial by fire - he was sick ALL over himself and the carseat. I had a 25 minute drive home before I could assess the damage and I'm happy to report that all the mess that leaked through the carseat was contained by the seat protector. Nothing at all ended up on my new leather. And cleaning up the mess was just a matter of hosing it off in the driveway and then wiping it down with disinfectant. I wish I could say the same for my son and the carseat. The Boulevard fits nicely on the mat and it's easy to latch it in to the bench seat. I drive one of the larger mid-size SUVs and I have the kids on the middle row. The protector mat covers the entire seat and I like that it has a section that also protects the front of the seat from scuff marks. My 7yo daughter's in a Britax Parkway high-back booster, which has a wider base than the Boulevard, and while it's a tighter fit onto the mat, it does all fit inside the raised area. She's still able to pull the cupholders out too, though they end up on the outside of the mat when pulled out. I wish there was a product that could accommodate potential cupholder spills, but have yet to see one. I haven't tried it with a non-Britax product, but don't see why there would be a problem given the Parkway seems to have one of the larger bases on the market. Overall, this seems to be a great product and I'm glad to have it.

I am so glad that I purchased these!! I have two Britax Pinnacle car seats and leather seats in my Odyssey. I was very hesitant to use a protector because I am aware how they can make the seats feel "falsely secure" and not as safe. However, it's a brand new car and I already saw imprints in the leather from just one day. I tried 4 other car seat protectors (Brica, Lionheart, Cheekie Monkie, and one other non-brand name). The Cheekie Monkie was horrible. The seat slid all over the place on the mat. Brica gave a nice secure feeling -- no sliding -- however the true test is to then remove the protector mat without loosening the car seat and then test the fit. When I removed the mat, the car seat was able to slide back a forth quite considerably. This is not safe at all, so back it went to the store. Same issues with the other mats. I was ready to give up my search and settle for no mat, but then I saw these. I was intrigued that they are made BY Britax, are compatible with the seats, and have been crash tested, Lo and behold, they work great. They give "almost" the same kind of fit as without a mat, so I find that acceptable. They are thin and made of rubber, so I do hope that they don't melt into my seat, but it's winter now and I won't find that out for several months. In the meantime, they offer protection from dirt (piece overhangs where kid's feet would hang), they seem to catch some crumbs, and no car seat imprints. I would say that they would most likely be a great fit for most car seats, however they do not have a back and if your car seat is still rear-facing, it will not protect the seat back. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and they were a reasonable price as well.

These are an absolute necessity if you want to protect your seats. I put 2 of these in our new van in April 2019. Here we are in October 2019 having to rearrange the seats due to the upcoming arrival of our third child. The pictures speak for themselves. The tray collected all the crumbs and “stuff” that my kid dropped. You can see on the seat that the indentations are not as severe as they are without a protective tray. There is a small red spot on the side of the seat where the tray didn’t cover, I think from a lollipop, but the seats in this row are much wider than regular seats so I couldn’t deduct any stars. I was able to shake the tray out and then soak it with water from the garden hose for a few minutes. I then dumped the water and hosed the tray out and it looked almost brand new again. I bought 4 more, 1 to add to the van and 3 for my SUV. There is no slipping around of the car seats on these trays.

I always thought these things were a bit of a gimmick, but they are seriously functional. Our car seat actually feels far more secure when placed on this mat, and it catches any little "oopsies" from our toddler when something is dropped. Nice thick high quality mat. Fits absolutely perfectly on the seat of my SUV.

Working great so far. Only thing is that it looks dirtier than if I got black mats. Price was right though. Rubber ones are a must. I had a thin plastic one before and when I took out the car seat there was mould underneath the mat. Gross!
