First day it feel great
Love that its one solid piece although the vibrations may give my hand an nyquil in the future. But i love the quality and construction of the style. It also is very sharp and i can feel the edge as it can feel my dead skin off 💀. Easy to clean and pretty Heavy though. But im a guy so its not too heavy also have huge meaty hands so its not a problem but i can see how others might find this not their style of knife. But i havent used it yet on anything practical. I recommend it a lot! Super quality to its build. 👍🏼

Worth every penny.
Absolutely wonderful knife. Heavy, comfortable, and strong. The metal handle can get slippery, but will no doubt last as long as the blade. I am not a pro chef, but I love this in my kitchen. My only regret was not buying one sooner.

Slippery Handle
The product works, but I must be more careful as the handle easily becomes slippery.

Not a good fit for my hand, to bulky....But good quality and affordable.

Great "Chef Knife" (NOT BONE CLEAVER!!!)
I use this knife for everything I would use my French style Chef's knife for. This Chinese chef knife is a little on the heavy side, but I expected that given the size of the blade. The steel is good quality and takes a hair popping edge (literally) with a quick tune up on a sharpening stone. So far I'm very happy with this purchase, and can't say enough good about it especially given the $12 price tag! Also to note, the solid one-piece steel contruction makes this knife very sanitary when it comes to cleaning. There is nowhere for this knife to harbor bacteria (like some other knives). All in all, great purchase and highly recommended if you're in the market for a Chinese chef knife. (Note I didn't say "cleaver", this is because this knife is not a "bone cleaver", it's meant to be used as a "chef knife" even despite it's somewhat heavy weight. This knife also makes scooping all your chopped up veggies and meat super easy! A nice bonus. If you want to learn more about this style of knife, I highly recommend going to youtube and searching "Martin Yan - how to use kitchen knife" there is an excellent 5 part video series where he explains all the various uses of this type of knife, also search "Martin yan's chinese knife" This video offers some other inventive ways to employ this knife. Once you see these videos, this will be the only style knife you ever want to use!

Delivered more than I expected.
I honestly didn't expect a lot out of this knife, but it's shockingly good. I got this to use mainly for menial tasks like chopping herbs and vegetables to save the wear and tear on my $100+ (each) Shun knives, and this cut through potatoes and several chicken breasts virtually the same as the Shuns did. Don't expect to use it as a cleaver, and know that it isn't for hitting large chunks of meat like you're swinging a baseball bat, it's for rocking back and forth without lifting your hand. That's what a Chinese Cleaver is supposed to be.The grip is comfortable. I tend to use a pinch grip on the blade when cutting, but the shape of the handle does lend itself to being more comfortable holding it as a handle grip. Not really a bad thing as the blade isn't going to hurt you unless you're severely careless. If I had to say one bad thing about it, food does tend to stick to it. It would be nice if it had a granton edge. But that's a pretty minor complaint given how incredibly well it cuts. Not only would I buy another, I'm GOING to buy another. Regardless of price point, it's an exceptional knife. Price point considered, it's a spectacular knife.

Love it
This kitchen knife is very sharp and cuts through everything quickly and effortlessly. My friend saw it and liked it so much that she asked me for the purchase link.

My favorite aspect of it is the nicely curved blade
I got this Cleaver to replace another Chinese cleaver I had that was carbon steel. It had a really flat blade that being a western person was awkward for me to use. The Winco 401 is definitely worth what I paid for it. I am a chef I use it at work. My favorite aspect of it is the nicely curved blade. It is the best knife ever for mincing herbs, and it is also great for tasks where you want to move something you just cut on the big blade. The blade is to me too thick for cutting vegetables nicely, some like red peppers its fine but carrots will break instead of cut, and tomatoes and onions it doesnt do well with either. I use it to do alot with however, as a cheap abuse knife and it is perfect for that. I cut boxes, hammer stuff with it, etc. I reprofiled the edge much steeper and sharpened it on a 6k stone. It will shave readily. I keep this thing nearby all day, and a regular chef knife to do the few tasks its not good at. For what I paid, the amount of use I have gotten and continue to get, and overall value I give the Winco KC-401 5 stars. It is a great product for a great value...
