A Must Have for Any Bar.
A friend at a local craft beer bar always uses these when he closes shop or has an empty line, so I decided to use them myself. I am so glad that I decided too. We have a dual kegerator in our home bar, but when we have beer in it we usually only perform 2 or so pours a night. We had problems with dried beer formation inside the faucet, but this has eliminated that. Although the remaining beer residue inside the faucet will still dry out eventually, this helps hold in the humidity for as long as we would ever need. We never go more than a few days without pouring and it works fine for that time frame. It also works nice for keeping the faucet clean and dust free when we don't have any beer on tap. Cleaning is also surprisingly easy. Because it hold in moisture so well,, any gunk buildup can easily be rinsed out with hot water.

Simple, Inexpensive and Effective.
This is a must-have if you have a home kegerator and the best I've seen in design and price. It slips easily onto standard-sized beverage faucets and off just as easily. Hollow end serves as a handle and reservoir for drips. Cleanup is also easy. Was so impressed with it that I ordered extras for family & friends. Now, if I could just find out who's drinking all my swill...

Best invention ever and so simple!
I have spent years trying to deal with my stuck tapper handle. I have replaced the faucets, cleaned them over and over again, etc. The problem was a stuck tapper handle because I don't use the tapper every day or even more than a couple times a week at most. This results in the beer drying in the faucet causing it to stick. This little gadget does not let air into the faucet thereby not allowing the beer to dry in the faucet. Works perfectly. Not another stuck faucet even after leaving it for more than a week.

So far, works great
I really didn't think it would be that useful, but I started dealing with fruitflies lately, and while I don't think they would contaminate my batch, its just gross to think that my next beer could have fruit flies in it that have crawled up the faucet. I started using it and it keeps out all the fruit flies. In addition, the faucet doesn't drip and eliminates my need for a drip pan. Its worth the two dollars you'll spend to get it. I bought two.

DOESN'T solve the problem it's supposed to: over time, collects MOLD.
HUGE Edit, 12/29/2014: Busting down to one star. I threw both my tap soothers away earlier this year. If your taps drip (and I know mine do), then drops of beer will accumulate in the little pinched area at the bottom of the tap cover. What does this mean over time? MOLD. No matter how I washed and sanitized them, mold got a solid foothold in that pinched area. That mold worked its way up into my taps, and I wound up having to do an additional dis-assembly, scrape-out, Oxi-clean and sanitizing of both beer lines and both taps because every pour had become nasty. Since the whole point of these tap covers is to keep funk and gunk out of your taps, trapping stale beer and humidity in them does the exact opposite of help. I now spritz sanitizer up into my taps before pouring the first pint, and at the end of every draft session, and let them air dry. Squeaky clean, and fewer pieces to boot. I will no longer recommend these tap covers to anyone. --- Original review (no longer my recommendation, just here for completeness): It's a cover for the ends of your beer taps. Keeps the faucet from drying out a bit longer, keeps infectious nasties (and pets!) out a bit longer. Looks clean, and catches the occasional drip if you don't have a perfect seal. Looks good and professional, and sends the message that you care about your system. A must, in my opinion, for the kegerator owners among us.

Save time and saves beer!
This product is exactly what you would imagine it to be! The design fits perfectly over my standard chrome faucets sealing wonderfully. Previously I was having lots of issues with my faucets getting stuck after several days of non use and the only solution was to remove the faucet for a quick soak in warm sanitizer water. Well no more!...well sort of anyway. With the Tap Soothers I can go a couple of days without the faucets getting gummed up, which is usually plenty long for me! As for sanitation concerns, although I don't have much issue with insects or...what have you, the seal on the Tap Soothers is definitely tight enough to prevent and unwanted pests. Should also note that they are extremely easy to install and remove! All in all they are a great and cheap medium term solution...but some Perlick Faucets would still be nice!
