They are for steel wire armoured cables. 20S should be fine for 3core 2.5.

Have you asked the correct question? The gland pack is for terminating SWA cable on the outside of the 308. The glands will screw straight into any of the 20mm threads

Yes. I used it on 3 core 6 mm SWA cable. Perfect match. The earthing nuts are 20 mm, much better than the frying pan washers. Would recommend these packs.
