Better than we expected!
Easy to install, looks good, we like the texture it has. It holds our blackout curtains from the ceiling to the floor (heavy ones) and feels solid (it’s metal). Good value.

Recommend this curtain rod
Good quality curtain rod. We did add a wooden doll rod inside the metal so we wouldn’t have to use the middle support. Our drapes are heavy and we didn’t want the rod to sag without the middle support

No Sag - Good Product and Price
Good product, but didn't come with instructions. After I figured out how to install, they were easy and best feature is the strength as these do not sag like some other rods that have 9 pieces that need to be screwed together.

Give your home the industrial look!
I love the industrial look with our log cabin home. It perfectly stands out against the cedar wood. Easy to install with a little help from the husband.

You will need to triple check the details not included in the instructions
Love the look. Love it. But, the instructions are as basic as they come. And, it should be an easy, straightforward project. But, some tips would have been nice. For instance, whatever length you buy, know that the length only refers to the rod & not the curved joint pieces that you are probably including in your measurements. Or, it does include them but you probably aren't. Its the opposite of whatever you are doing. I bought the 48 to 84" because I was planning on 49 inches. My civil engineer husband checked my math & concurred but neither of us realized the impact of the curved joint. We hung the brackets 49 inches apart only to realize that the rod, at its smallest length (48") was still too big. It's not a huge deal. But, it does mean extra work because you will have to take them down, redo the math & rehang. You may also want to fill in the screw and anchor holes to class up the room but that is a personal choice, of course. Oh, and I think the instructions mention the middle bracket but, just in case, you will slide that onto the rod and connect that to the wall last. Also, there's no advice on the rings to hold the curtains if you decide to go that route. The 1.5 inch rings will fit the rod beautifully but absolutely will not go over the curved joint. So, if you are buying these rods for the blackout potential AND you are going to hang your curtains with the rings (and, you should if you don't want to disassemble the whole thing whenever you want to wash the curtains), then you need rings that will go over the rod AND the joint. It just never occurred to me that the joint would be so much bigger. All that being said, I really do love them. Once the fiasco with the first rod was fixed, the rest went much more smoothly. They seem durable. I had almost no chipping (minus one barely noticeable spot across three rods). The screws & anchors worked as they were supposed to but we had backups ready. Again, just triple check the details and the math and you will love these.

Keep it simple
I read reviews that commented on measurements and difficulties fitting pieces together after securing the plates to the wall. For the easiest installation, first assemble all of the pieces. Put it in place and adjust the width as needed. I used a level to make sure the rods were straight and a pencil to mark the drill holes. I installed two rods in about 15 minutes! NOTE: because of the width of the plates you will need to add your curtains/panels first. Otherwise you will need to disassemble the rod to add them. I’m using clips. If you are using clips please buy the rings that are 1.7” in diameter. A previous review stated that 1.5” rings do not fit over the elbow joint which is key to preventing a gap between the curtains and the window. Product is heavy and looks good. A great value. You will not be disappointed!

Does the job
Very pleased with this. The rod is a heavy duty gauge that will not bend, the design is good for a large window with a smaller diameter center piece that slides into two larger diameter end pieces. The price was very good, I looked into what I might have to spend on "the real thing" (galvanized or black pipe) but it was going to be very pricey plus I would have had to prep and paint the pieces if I went that route. I did upgrade the fasteners as in my experience the little wall plug type fasteners will pull out if put under too much stress. In this case several half grown cats (they're adults now) that see it as their duty to climb or jump on top of anything and everything that is within reach (and some things that aren't.) Of course it doesn't help that their cat tree is in front of the window but this is the only place I can really put it.

Great quality!
Love this heavy duty industrial French return rod. The return allows for you to completely blackout your room. The rod is a really solid heavy iron. The black finish is awesome and even with the curtain rings sliding across it constantly there still haven’t been any paint chips. The installation was really easy since everything unscrews from each other. A great value for this quality. I didn’t need to use the center bracket but it comes with one for extra support if your rod is extended to a longer length.
