Tons of features. If you’re new to networking you may have some issues with setup. There are 100s of YouTube videos that will guide you in setting up. Quality is great, functionality is great. This is an annual subscription device. If you want to pay a few hundred a year for protection, this is a must have. Cons: Connecting to other VPN services is not possible currently. So OpenVPN, WireGuard, and others aren’t able to be integrated at the moment. However they do have a vpn config app for devices.

I recently bought into a business that literally had no firewall or other security in place. Ive used fortigate in other companies and for the price, the 60f is a great value. Very familiar from what I’ve used in the past and the GUI is easy to navigate and use. I paired this firewall with a unifi U6 pro WiFi deployment running vlans and it works perfect! My company has 11 employees and approximately 60 nodes on the network. The 60f is perfect for this size enterprise. Very happy!

Proxy-related features no longer supported on FortiGate 2 GB RAM models 7.4.4 Note This information is also available in the FortiOS 7.4 Administration Guide: Proxy-related features not supported on FortiGate 2 GB RAM models As part of improvements to enhance performance and optimize memory usage on FortiGate models with 2 GB RAM or less, starting from version 7.4.4, FortiOS no longer supports proxy-related features. This change impacts the FortiGate/FortiWiFi 40F, 60E, 60F, 80E, and 90E series of devices and their variants, and FortiGate-Rugged 60F (2 GB versions only). Note FortiGate VMs are not affected by the size of the memory and will continue to support proxy-related features after upgrading to FortiOS 7.4.4. However, it is recommended to have at least 4 GB of RAM for proper operation. After upgrade to FortiOS 7.4.4 or later, the following proxy features are no longer supported on impacted devices: Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) UTM profile with proxy-based inspection mode Firewall policy with proxy-based inspection mode Explicit and transparent proxies Virtual server load balance Proxy-only UTM profiles: Video Filter Inline CASB ICAP Web application firewall (WAF) SSH Filter WAN optimization To confirm whether your FortiGate model has 2 GB RAM or less, enter diagnose hardware sysinfo conserve in the CLI. A decent quality firewall with a 3 year security subscription.

Fantastic full featured product but only for technical experts. Very fast hardware and packet inspection software. SSL VPN support has been withdrawn, so you have to use IPSEC, which is difficult to configure but which I did get working great with 2FA. Learning curve is steep and the GUI is not great - many tasks require using the CLI. You have to be very careful to use the firmware version specific documentation. It will block the new Apple IOS email privacy feature as a man in the middle attack unless you configure the firewall to allow the Apple proxies.

Good product and good price but the shipping time is ugly take too much time for delivery.
