Very reliable lockset, after receiving a opened box with missing parts the seller refunded me and I purchased another which came sealed and worked perfectly.

great lock, grade 1, lasts for a super long time.

The last one we had worked for 15 years without a problem. The buttons finally wore out and we just put the new one in. Its used on a commercial door that is used daily, about 15-30 times a day, 5 days a week for 15 years. Money's worth for sure.

First, Amazon should supply more than a 30 day return window on a product like this, just got to installing this the last three days, and after reading the instructions, which are horrible, I found out the lock combination mechanism was installed wrong in the factory. I had to download the factory reset video, which prompted me to find their error when they installed the gears. 2 of the 5 gears were installed lower than they should which made the “reset” procedure inoperable. So then I had to figure out away to take apart the entire product as I was a week after my return window. Personally, If you buy this lock and are not honestly extremely capable, Ive built over 6 cars and been a import mechanic in my past life, I would past. If you like punishment, hurry up and bench install the product and enter in the factory code to see if it works, if not return it as there quality control process is horrible.

Easy install, easy to program, duplicate of three others. Just wish it didn’t cost as much. But it takes a beating!

To Grand Strand Lock and Key. Your an idiot. It does not say that. And if you’d look at manual it shows two handles. How the hell are you supposed to exit the door with only one side. Smh. These are great locks we have several and will be buying more.

I think the lock itself is "ok" -- but not for the price. We were trying to replace one that is maybe 6 years old. The return spring cracked due to rust--as the unit itself has no seal to the metal door and, internally, nothing to inhibit the parts rusting away. Here in the Bay Area, the lock should not have rusted so badly in that short time, but for poor design, lack of seals, lack of moly-grease packed into the spring area.So, I ordered another one-and, guess what, the one I received ONLY goes on left hinged doors. The handles are reversible but the latch port is not.

This was very complicated to install. It was working fine on the "factory code". Onec we went through to complicated process of changing the code it work fine twice and then completely failed! Had a local locksmith come out to troubleshoot the lock and he found that the code mechanism had failed! $80 part plus labor. Cheeper than sending it back for warranty work plus I would have to find another way to secure the area. BAD INVESTMET!!
